unfortunately in my Rueda group people are doing the back rock Guapea. This goes so far as to always sending the followers back on 1 - like you said - so especially for vacila and sombrero the turning only happens on 5/6/7 and is a bit rushed then. 🤷

Los cubanos "de a pie" no bailan haciendo back rocks (o no de la forma en que lo enseñan en las academias). Yo mismo he bailado con cubanas "de a pie" y me doy cuenta de la diferencia cuando bailo con extranjeras que hacen back rocks. Muy bonito el feeling y todo pero si el feeling viene acompañado a la pareja todo el tiempo, ahí ya no es tan bonito.
How can you feel the music, if you don't know the basics?? He explain something that almost is ignore by the teachers who teach Casino. People think that because a person dances very good, he is an excellent teacher and that is not entirely true.
