I think what really sells this for me is the "long way from home" in one of the last verses being a soldier walking down a road in a neighborhood, back to the camera. That's so striking.
1:52 The transition from headstones to soldiers really shows the true cost of all of WW1, not land or honor or pride, but lives. So many lives. It's also very smooth
The "warped and buggy" feeling of AI generated images just feeds to the overall dread of how unsettling and eldrich the real war was for the soldiers. This video is honestly amazing.
Something that struck me was that at several points, the grave markers morph into the Cross of Lorraine, one of the provinces annexed by Germany in 1871 and one of the primary French war goals of the Great War. It really brings home the fact that so many suffered for so little.
YES THANK YOU SO MUCH ITS FINALLY HERE THANK YOU SO MICH HarrierAI THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER. Also when it’s sung “thousands of feet Mach to the beat” the AI generated images are amazing.
I can’t express how happy I am and so thankful you have excepted my idea for the next song, thank you harrierAI my gratitude to you can not be expressed, I will keep liking your content, I will try and comment on every one and I will think of new songs you can AI generate.
It might just be me but I like how in some spots during the "thousands of feet march to the beat" it transitions from a path to a trench. Making it look like the columns of soldiers is so vast to cut paths into the ground making the trenches by walking
I agree it's appalling, what I find even worse is how pro-War everyone is, both in Russia and the West, repeating the foolish mistakes of 1914. Like I openly see Westerners say they are sad that any Russians survive to be taken prisoner, or Russians saying that No Ukrainians should be left alive. I wonder how soon these idiots would change their tune if they even had to spend a week in the Trenches...
Something I noticed a lot when watching these videos, may of these videos, especially the one that go into ww1, tend to have a focus on the right side do these creep. The trench more often then not seems to be on the right side, many major landmarks in the photo like puddles are on the right side, and the right side of the video tilts first as the camera zooms out. Is there any particular reason the AI does that?
The video does actually slowly zoom and rotate the entire way through - the reason being is that in earlier videos (pre-daily Sabaton), it got very fixated on straight lines, resulting in seconds of video that was just... stripes. By forcing a very slight rotation the lines don't stay straight so the AI turns them into other things. If you pay attention to the very bottom of the screen at about 0:29, you can see blocks of stripes that without the rotation would probably have ended up filling the screen.

Love this song, good job man!
The fact that this song just played when I went by a graveyard of American ww2 veteran graves makes me feel depressed and proud

I honestly think that the black and white and the watermarks kinda add to it, sort of a bleak vibe i guess

Paesschendale. The British couldn't take Canadian it. The Australians couldn't take it. The Indians couldn't take it. The Canadians took it.

Which resolution do you use when rendering in deforum?
Russian soldier attacking in the next wave of advance on Bakhmut. How stupid to fight in Putin's war... well Russia never changes...
That opening was fantastic.
