Kendrick said this is a friendly fade you should keep it that way....
Drake never really got over this and it shows.
Like, clearly Kendrick is saying all of these rappers are not on his level but they are big. He seems, basically, to be issuing a challenge that they all make each other better
Him and Mac Miller were homeboys, which is funny because if anybody knew who Kendrick was when he dropped that verse, they would have realized it was a friendly rap battle. The shit not that deep.
@@megamixa literally. He was clearly anxious about how Pusha T would take it and he brought it up with him. Pusha said straight up he took it as a compliment and said he knew it was about the sport.
@@ItzGuerrerowhen Pusha said that he told Dot "Nah, I'm different", he meant that
This wasnt a diss tract this was a challenge for all of the artist that Kendrick had respect for or that had the ability to get the ears of the masses to shift the music from simple music or mumble rap to music of a higher quality.
It was almost a diss to the names he DIDN’T mention😂 but one nigga outta the bunch took it personally, damn near everyone else understood it wasn’t personal 😂
and since drake isnt of the culture, he didnt even realize this.
He couldn't deal with the harsh words lol
One of the best feature verses in history!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Kendrick the goat. Good to see yall active. God bless
Goat of what? Lmao learn your hip hop history before you speak reckless. Jay-z the goat and it ain’t close.
@@isiahholmes7712who tf are u ? 😂jay z ain’t shit go cry to you’re momma now Kendrick the goat
It's called a goat convo for a reason, Hiphop is moving forward and goats move forward, it's always gonna be debatable and that's exactly how it should be. Jay is definitely a goat and so are Pac, Biggie, Nas, 3000, and Kendrick.
I remember where I was when this song dropped, man I wish I could hear it for the first time again😂😂😂 I was living through bro that never heard this verse before😅😂
Love KDot finally getting the attention he deserves! 🙌🏽
I mean the highest grossing tour for a solo rapper all time? + Kendrick don’t like too much attention
Funniest Part about this Verse is Kendrick Really Saying Im going for the #1 Spot But What im Saying Matters Way More (imo)
That list was all the guys that came out the same year as Kendrick, they were the freshman class of hip hop that year. The verse wasn’t really a diss, it was a challenge to all of them to bring real bars in they music and end the mumble rap era, and they all did.
Def was the warning shot, n he was probably hoping Drake would've took the bait after the Cypher so he could've flamed him early
The king of New York / Muslim on pork line is a callback to Kurupt's feature on Get Bizy: "I'm important like the Pope, I'm the king of New York / I'm live from South Central, I'm a Muslim on pork."
BTW y'all should review Kendrick Lamar - Kurupted. Another of his classic joints.
IGNORANCE IS BLISS is my FAVORITE K Dot song
Listen or react to it. It’s the smoothest fire ever recorded 🔥🔥
Annnndddd I just subscribed to
I like seeing this. I would like to do this with my brother but he is incarcerated 🏧 he introduced me into the actual understanding of Bars in music
Y’all doing this together will create a bond that can’t be broken 💯
Thank you big bro
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏾
🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥
You takes are fun to watch. TY
I never understood that last verse till now lol
HERE 🔥🔥😂
The rest of them understood the compliment. The sensitive rapper heard it different. Took 10 years to jump up and got beat df down
And it’s crazy how they took the bait so many years after. Time stamp 4:39
🔥🔥🔥🔥
What a great verse for hip hop. Energized everybody. Except for that one sensitive rapper who got tucked-in, now posting on IG sucking lip.
Guru and 9th Wonder on the night the verse dropped: th-cam.com/video/phLa2wH_co8/w-d-xo.html
Definitely check out Kendrick Monster Freestyle.🔥🔥🔥
Already out 🔥🔥🔥
@@jbonereacts9359 Shut my mouth! Yall the truth! 💯 🔥
Give this man a chair lmaoooo love the videos 🎶
They should have been paying attention when moster freestyle came out for real and that was before control.
Yall HAVE to do his Monster Freestyle! Control was fire but Dot was on this time WAY before control. React to his Monster Freestyle
Monster freestyle please!
Have yall did Black Friday with Dot and Cole? Yall should do it.
Mac miller MACADELIC is my favorite Mac project.
He didn’t do nothing he was just a good white rapper
PLEASE REACT to it
2010-2012 was the ABSOLUTE BEST year for music as a rap fan. Go back to that era for real balance of music
Legendary verse.
I’d love to see you guys break down some of the bars on #RICHAXXHAITIAN by Mach-Hommy, it came out earlier this year. I don’t think anyone is touching Mach’s pen right now. He’s rapping neck-and-neck with Black Thought and Roc Marciano.
You should’ve done the whole song
If you really pay close attention Control was really a shot at Jay z he flips a Jayz bar every line damn near. Kendrick was really going at Jay z on this song. Ex if you don’t believe
Jay says on U don’t know I’m raping def jam till I’m the 100 million man ROC that’s where you wrong.
Kendrick says I'm Sean Connery
James Bonding with none of you niggas, climbing 100 mil in front of me
And I'm gonna get it even if you're in the way
And if you're in it, better run for Pete's sake
It’s way more I’ll let y’all catch up
You’re definitely right about that. I feel like he always references Jay somehow, not only in this song. Even the video for ”Not Like Us”, takes inspiration from Jay Z’s ”Otis”featuring Kanye. He’s paying homage to him, but at the same time letting him know that eventually he’s coming for him too. Yes, it's clear that Jay Z is the pinnacle for him, and he let's him know that he intends to come for him.
I love dude energy but the other dude can’t really enjoy or focus because he performing the dang lyrics and touching him
You don’t know how he receive music and how exaggeration and theatrics add to how he perceive the music. He wasn’t complaining.
Let them enjoy the art how they want. I'd be down to have my friend next to me hyping me up with the song. Everyone is invited to come over and listen to music and vibe however they feel.
Other dude needs to be quiet we ain’t come here for him to rap lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥
