You've visited this gem during high season. That's why some of the places you visited were crowded. Go in low season and you'll be almost by yourself on top of Sigiriya
You missed visiting the ' PASIKUDAH BEACH ' IN THE EAST COAST as well the KANDALAMA HERITAGE HOTEL, which is an architectural marvel in South East Asia as well the historic sites in POLLUNARUWA.
Another awesome video, with great advice for travelers. You guys put in work, its obvious from the quality of your videos, and the insight you provide. It would be rude not to acknowledge how hard you guys work.
I wasn't really sure, if you can really top the last couple series. However, I think there is a huge improvement concerning everything around the traveling itself. The Extra Videos, the editing, the difference between the "good" and "bad" experiences… all that made this series really amazing. Especially the fact that you're not only showing all the Beautiful landscapes, but also situations, like for example the huge crowds at the hotspots. In my opinion, there is no better way of giving an Impression About a Country, than how you did. Besides, for travelers who don't Need Kingsize bed and like to explore rather more off the beaten track this is again, like all the other series before, a huge Inspiration of how to interact with other People. Cheers guys, Keep it going!
LOL!!! yeah after getting to know the people living there, the beach was pristine and completely off the radar until about 5 years ago, but, now people are slowly figuring out, that it's one of the most beautiful places, they have all built a business there. So I am sure they won't mind ;)
The Budgeteers yes. One of the amazing beaches in SL. Water colour is most pleased looking in "Nilawali" i would say. But secret beach & Jungle beach are botg fun! Visited both places when it wasn't crowdes.

When I was your age and back-packing round the world, there was no ready access to internet, no affordable digital cameras, no drones, no smart phones. I'd take "slides", lug the film around and wait a few weeks for them to be developed by Kodak when I got back home (Too bad if some shots were crap). It was another world back then. And this wasn't so long ago - mid 1980's. Gosh, how times have changed. You folks will have some seriously ace photos and videos to look back on when you are old and grey .

It was a beautiful series. But why didn't you guys try anuradhapura and polonnaruwa? They are the 1st 2 kingdoms of the country. They have humongous temples and tanks and a lot more

We use the little DJI Spark. We crashed three times, and even once straight into a waterfall and found it flashing under a current... Still alive though... 💪💪💪💪💪
@@TheBudgeteers That's awesome makes it worth the price I guess. Our main concern is was there any hassle with legal issues and permission to fly the drone, especially in India.
@@CurryandTheStates to be honest its always a risk, and most countries ban them from what I understand. you gotta be a drone ninja and just make sure you are not breaking any safety issues or filming things you REALLY shouldn't. Like flying the drone over the Taj Mahal....some people are still stupid enough to do that....just use your brain, be diligent, and you should be alright...

Too many tourists visting places that are still in pristine condition (natural) will destroy them. Examples: Knuckles mountains, Seven Virgin mountains, Piduruthalagala mountain, Sinharaja forest. There are several more, but will not mention here. People who climb Siri Pada (Adam's Peak) should be aware that it is a sacred place for Buddhists. The climb is a pilgrimage for them. Others, should not consider it as a thrill, frolic or an alcoholic adventure. Budgeteers behaved well there.

They just don't sell beer in some places... This place was more touristy and catered towards western tourists.
