Yearning for Mother like yearning for Father - beautiful. We often identify ourselves as either a son or daughter of God - and I think "God" literally means Heavenly-Father-and-Heavenly-Mother, for neither is the man without the woman, nor the woman without the man in the Lord (1 Corinthians 11:11), so it can be no other way. I love how you did not leave Father out like much of modern influences try to do, but express Mother in Heaven as equally glorious and important. Perhaps it has been society and men that have left the idea of Mother out of the term "God". I saw your eagerness to connect to a Mother in Heaven without leaving the Father out in the more full and true meaning and context of "God". I am hoping to see more and more content glorifying the traditional relationship and oneness of man and wife and their united eternal impact in families and society as they seek to become truly one, cleaving to each other and none else. Fact is, we cannot independently become a God with eternal increase without our spouse - and neither could Heavenly Father or Heavenly Mother (Doctrine and Covenants 132). That is no mystery, and makes perfect sense. We have been taught to pray to our Father in Heaven, even by Jesus - I'm not sure why he did not pray to Mother in Heaven. But I imagine when praying to our Father in Heaven in the name of Christ, our Mother in Heaven must hear, too. How couldn't she? She's a mother. She has to be intimately interested in each and everyone of us.
Thank you for such a thoughtful response. We definitely wanted to honor the beautiful relationship of our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother as that is what we aspire to have someday. They are our parents and we are their children, and that is a beautiful, powerful, and simple truth. I too believe that our Mother in Heaven hears us in ways we do not realize, because as you said, she's a mother who is intimately interested in each of us.

It is a bit tough for me to say much right now Kristina given my mum's condition. I will email you soon.
I hope this song will speak to you in many peaceful and beautiful ways during this challenging time.
