It isn't easy coming back from injury with all the pain and frustration it brought/brings. Take all the time you need to recover and not a minute less. You've got this! What beautiful adventures you already have behind you and what amazing ones you'll going to experience. Vive la vie!🎉🎉🌹🌹🌻🌻🌻🌻☀️☀️☀️
I appreciate that you two are being real about your challenges. Too often content providers/influences paint an overly rosy portrayal of their lives which can leave us, the viewer, feel like our individual realities are lame by comparison because we don't see ourselves as cool, attractive, talented, riding super-sweet bikes - all of which can be hard on mental health - especially as we deal with the isolation of covid and the state of the world. Thank you for keeping it real. But also, thank you for being cool, attractive, talented, and riding sweet bikes, and especially sharing your collective wisdom. You are inspiring.
Aw, shucks 😊 thanks for the kind words. Trying to keep it real is definitely a goal of ours so that hopefully we can inspire other people to keep going when things get tough!
Your riding looking great Syd, especially in the latter laps. Sooooo great to see you back in the non-electric saddle. Great job on the ride and thanks for the video.
Syd you are doing awesome!! I've had multiple injuries over the years of Mtbing. Some times it takes baby steps to get back to your old form!! Stay Strong and youll be there in no time!!
Hey Sid I wanted to tell you I broke my elbow in Sept of 2019 and just got back on the bike in May so I can totally relate to this emotions in this video! When I came back I got an eBike 😁 omg the sense of childlike wonder and superhuman riding abilities that has bestowed upon me 🥳
There was a moment during that last lap where I couldn't help but think "oh, yeah. That's the Sydney we know!" So glad to see you getting back. You never forget the things you learn well, and it shows here. Syd's cornering is still a sight to behold. Sidenote: I didn't know our names were on that jersey!!! I should've dipped into the old credit card and bought one lololol
Bike park day is a good day! Glad you had a blast, I look forward for my first bike park day in 2021. Hopefully in less than 2 weeks, very excited. Good luck for the single speed race Macky!
Love a good warmup on Boulder Dash ;) (Was the very first trail I ended up riding at my first visit to Angel Fire... when I had deliberately told myself NOT to start on a jump trail...)
Welcome back to New Mexico!!!! I’m sure within time y’all will get back to where you were in 2019. Baby steps. I’m down here in Albuquerque. I’ve been riding the foothills mostly here. I’m planning a day trip to Angel Fire soon. That mountain looks so awesome!!! Good job y’all and keep it going!!!
Syd is still like a snake on the corners . Well done . The pain in the extremities is probably being a bit to tense and that will go away with more confidence . Mackeys crash after Syd walked her bike down must have gotten in his head a bit . Everyone did well . It's not like the old adage it's just like riding a bike you never forget . Mountain biking takes a lot of muscle memory and concentration that you lose when not riding but it does come back fairly quickly . Congrats
Haha i think I will save that declaration for when I can pedal a non ebike up a hill for longer than 10min...Lol. But i am definitely heading in the right direction!
You guys are great. But do you ever mountain bike for the beauty of it? Not always in training mode, or all bike parks? I used to race XC back in the 1990's Things were so much more simple. Now the bikes cost as much as a mint condition used car and the riders are still wearing the same road bike knock off jerseys.
Prefer natural single track XC over bike parks. I find they don't suite my riding style, speed or weight. For a given gap jump you need to hit it at the absolute correct speed for your weight. A little too fast or too slow and it ends in or a near crash and even then if your a little heaver ir lighter for a given speed you may not get the optimum height and this is the same for berms. Some parks you needn't bother having peddals all you need are foot pegs. If bike parks are your thing, great, but not for everyone.
It’s awesome that you put your supporters names on those jersey’s. Just awesome!!!
Syd, you did great. Really nice to see you back in the saddle.
Way to go Syd and Macky... you guys rock! You never forget how to ride a bike. :)
Are you coming out for the Sea Otter Classic this year?
it was nice meeting you two today! Thanks for letting me tag a long. I'll be out there again tomorrow!

It was nice meeting y’all on the mountain!!

Congratulations Macky on becoming the US single speed champion 2021. I hope the video isn't too far a way :)
Spoiler alert ;)
You just have to knock the dust off it's been awhile. Great job! Positive as always Macky. You guys work well together.
Wow Syd, by your last lap on Diesel I could tell your confidence and muscle memory were kicking in big time - so smooth!
Another great film. Thanks guys👊

Nice job with editing guys. Music was great too. I can tell you are enjoying that MTB life again. Happy for you two!
SYD RIDES AGAIN!!!!!
AWESOME to see you back on the bike!! You were like a whole different person after that firs lap; she's BACK!!
There was a moment during that last lap where I couldn't help but think "oh, yeah. That's the Sydney we know!"

We actually didn't do the names on the #bemoreawesome jerseys (because we opened orders to the general public), just on our race kits!
@@sydandmacky oooooooooooh OK, that cancels my regret. I should've bought one either way
Enjoyed riding along with you. Lovely trails .

Syd, Hang in there! you did great!!!
Great stuff guys
Good stuff happy for you.
I can't tell you how many times I've clipped the aspen that is deadly close to the trail at 12:56 and went straight into another tree 😂😂😂
great to see you guys ride some bike park! keep it up love love
Love a good warmup on Boulder Dash ;) (Was the very first trail I ended up riding at my first visit to Angel Fire... when I had deliberately told myself NOT to start on a jump trail...)
Great video!
Great riding and great turtle save.
Love the subtitles! "unintelligible noises of concern". Bummer about the GPS.
Happy for Syd!
You can definitely see a lot of the work they've put in on the trails at AF. Definitely need to make it up there a few more times this summer.
standing in the rain just hits different.
Just saw the single speed results congrats :)

Syd & Macky . . Guest staring **
You know we’ll all be looking off screen now 😂
Hey Syd you a still gun rider just need your confidence back, awesome effort 🤘
Nice turtle save!
i got the xtr 9120 brakes for my mtb they are so good
Good screenwriting. The hero saves the turtle in act I.
LOVE the chest mount perspective, but the stabilization of the Go Pro 9 (?) does NOT do those trails and their impact justice at ALL!. Epic video.
Goodd session
also i got new 29 inch good year tyres for my mtb too haha
Damn that lift is fast lol
Van we yust take a moment to appreciate the effird that they put in these videos and the quality of the video editing
For some reason just came to mind, have y’all had the opportunity to ride the new transfer sl? How’s it work if so?
@1:50 Macky the turtle wanted to get to the other side of the road…maybe
He was sure taking his time about it 😁
Are you guys going to get the new WFO'S? Great video, keep it up.
Yup, probably this fall (stock is limited because of COVID slowdowns at the factory).
It's rocktropolis out there.
Super👍
Hey! You're off the e-bike and hitting bike parks. :-) Are you officially declaring yourself "recovered"?
Haha i think I will save that declaration for when I can pedal a non ebike up a hill for longer than 10min...Lol. But i am definitely heading in the right direction!
what is the name of your bike rack?
It's a Recon Rack with a custom swing-out bumper we designed and had made.
@@sydandmacky thank you!
You guys sure have never been to Gravity Falls? I keep seeing Dipper and Mabel.
