    Hi Hal, from a raster DEM (e.g. Band from min.600 to max 1500m) I would need to view / extract only the territories above a certain altitude or contour line (e.g. 1000m). The effect should be similar to "raising the sea level and see only a few islands". Would you know how to do it? Did you already explain it in a previous video?

      I don't think I have done one like this. I will have to look into it I'm not at my computer right now, but the first thing that comes to mind is Polygonize. It's a raster feature in raster tab that allows a raster to be transitioned to vector. Ill need to look into it a bit more though.

      Dear Mr. Kaba, I have found over the years a bit of knowledge goes along ways. Sometimes taking on a project and just jumping into the deep end of the pool is better than thinking that you must know everything about the software to be proficient. Mr Hart's videos cover so many different aspect of QGIS to give you a great place to build from. That said TH-cam is absolutely one of the best sources to find the answer to any question that arise in your project. QGIS is without a doubt an incredible piece of software for mapping and analysis. Good luck with your project and keep learning.

    Hi Hal . I'm still learning qgis . How can I minimize my qgis dialogue box on my screen for to have access of some boutons at the bottom of the dialogue box?

    • @HalHartQGIS

      If you hover your cursor over any edge of the dialog box the curse will change to a double sided arrow when it does double click and drag to the size you need to see the entire box.

    Hey Hal, do you know how to find and locate the max and min values within a raster DEM? It could be a nice topic for a video

    • @HalHartQGIS
      @HalHartQGIS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes covered that in the first two raster rendering videos which were 126 127 I believe
