What an interesting video Steve! I have seen a couple of the akarma bootlegs knocking around(although I didn’t know they were bootlegs, but I had my suspicions!) in a couple of indie record shops, the coloured vinyl used felt a bit flimsy and the colour of the print on the sleeve looked off as well, so I decided not to get them because I bet the sound of them would’ve been awful as well!!!!
Many have said that the Akarma pressings are below par - but I've found them quite acceptable. As all after the first 1998 pressing were boots, we, of course, never got any complimentary copies. So I've kind of made it a mission to buy one of each of the ones with a different vinyl finish - so I have the original grey marble, black, white marble, blue marble, clear, picture and 'test' pressing. The only ones I've not managed to find are the red marble, (as they tend to just say 'colored vinyl' so you don't know what you'll get) and one of the 2021 represses in translucent green. But the audio on (the ones I've played) has been fine.
This is what your into these days, with vinyl become so collectible that i’ve seen victorian antiques go cheaper! Your going to get bootleg scammers where big money items are concerned no matter wether it’s immoral or not! So it doesn’t surprise me so toe rag would eventually do this to someone with such a ltd valuable album as this!! I hope the scumbag rots in hell for this!!!!
You quickly showed where your head is shoved. Perhaps instead of being a smartass, investigate and you will see this is one of the most sought after albums on the planet. Commentary in the video by the album creator and band leader. Your rudeness deserved less time than I gave here.

“An original Steve Giles sleeve” 😎
😄 has the provenance - but not the age.
He did appreciate it though.
The lengths some people will go for a buck…

I understand your frustration!

All very detailed account of your discovery of this fake but ultimately who cares and who is this band anyway?
