    Hello everyone!
    First off thank you so much for all the sweet comments! I’m so happy so many of you loved my review! Just wanted to clarify and answer some question I’ve been seeing.
    - This video is NOT SPONSORED. I went to Dubai Mall and purchased this with my own money. The reason I hesitated while saying the price in the video is because I bought it in Dirhams (AED) and since most of my following is in the USA, I estimated the price in Dollars (USD).
    - The candles on my bed are FLAMELESS LED candles. I won’t burn my bed down with them, I promise.
    - The Dyson curls lasted me a good three days. They’re more of loose waves on the third day but I like that style.
    - From start to finish it look me about 1 hour to do my hair with the Dyson. Normally when I blow dry with my regular blow dryer and brush, it takes me about 25 mins.
    Once again thank you all so much!! Much love!❤️❤️

      Its a Westy thing I personally think It’s a great Investment piece. Think how much It would cost over the years going to salon getting a blow out ect ... You can do this In the comfort of your own home & just have a play around with different styles. I’m sure If you’re not happy you can get a refund In allotted time on the receipt.

      I’m thinking they’re artificial candles. Real candles go very still and then move back and forth. These are all consistently moving, in different directions, so it’s not like there is a breeze they’re all responding to.

    Nice to see a review with wet hair that’s been properly sectioned! Actually think this came out beautiful, you can’t get volume like that with a normal curling iron. It’s far better for the hair as it doesn’t reach those high & damaging temperatures. Price is just too high for me though 😩

    Thank you for doing a PROPER review and TUTORIAL on how to use this. So many other youtubers didn’t even know HOW to use this product BEFORE reviewing it 🙄 which totally misrepresented it. I know it’s super expensive but I feel like people should decide whether or not they want to purchase it at that price after learning the appropriate way to use it and knowing all the real pros and cons.

  • @ItsCottonie
    @ItsCottonie 6 ปีที่แล้ว +110

    Omg someone using it correct!!! How rare lol. Thank you for this!
    As for long hair, one person I saw said that they curl the bottom first until it dries, then they move it up to the middle and curl that and so on. It didn’t matter if the bottom hair fell off the barrel cause it was already curled! I thought that was smart! I would’ve never thought of that honestly.

    • @justmydeals
      @justmydeals 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cottonie Hime If using it correctly means it takes 70 minutes to do her hair - and the first curls are falling out by the time you’re done (look at the first one she did, it’s straight!) - I’m out.

    Finally someone with informative and correct review. I purchased it because it does not damages the hair like straighteners or curling irons do and it gives almost 80-90% same result as other hot tools.
    Can you please review the round brush attachment. If it gives you nearly saloon style blow dry?

    • @wanningguo4163
      @wanningguo4163 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! The irons curling always make my hair smell horrible, probably is the damage of protein of my hair. But the Airwrap is only 120 degrees and the hair could be dry and curly at the same time. I have already bought them for more than 3 months, but I did not try the straighter yet.

  • @Marie01165

    As someone else said you are the first person who read the instructions and used the product right.
    I mean it was hilarious watching women use the air wrap and refuse to wet their hair, refuse to read the directions, and my pet peeve not firmly section their wet hair so they stay damp and out of the way.
    In this case you beat GlamLifeGuru Tati in learning and successfully using the product. Perhaps because you spent your own money on it whereas she got it as a gift that she says she didn’t care about. You made in investment, she made no investment therefore made little to no effort to learn how the product is supposed to be used.
    Your hair looks lovely but time consuming. That was my thought at the beginning, it’s gonna take a long time for you to get through all the length and volume of hair on your head. Looks exhausting.

    I have the Airwrap and I love it. I use it exactly the way you're supposed to and after a few uses, you can speed up quite a lot. I love the volume that the bigger barrel gives and this tool saves me so much time. I used to spend 45 minutes or so blow drying my hair and then another 20 minutes using a curling iron. I can do my hair so much quicker with the Airwrap and the curls last for days.

    There is actually a cool shot button on the Airwrap which you apply to cool the curl down and then switch the machine off. You do not need to do it by turning the temperature down to the lowest setting and this can also be more fiddly when you get to the back. Just some helpful advise. :)

    Your hairstyle turned out gorgeous! I just bought a dyson airwrap a few days ago and am watching videos from gals with LONG hair to learn better how to get curls that will last. Seems like girls with hair that is already naturally curly are having better luck with this tool than I am. My hair is straight and down to my hips. I agree with you about the tool working better for shorter hair than longer .... it does not produce enough force to effectively wrap the longer hair all the way up. Thank you for your video. I can see one mistake I have been making is pre-drying my hair too much. Best wishes! :)

    Thanks for the review - just got it yesterday and spent 45 minutes with it. Didn't have any issues actually using it as I followed directions and had watched a couple tutorials. I however have frizzy roots like you and they were a hot mess when I was done. Further down the hair was beautiful but near the scalp was so frizzy I had to wash my hair again this morning. I sadly will be returning mine. Really was hoping it would work better on my hair. Back to Brazilian blow outs I guess.

      @DanielleNicoleMakeup 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey girl. You probably already returned yours as I am SUPER late to the party, but a tip I picked up from a professional hair styler is that you should use the flat brush attachment first to partially dry just where you part your hair first, to get the top section of frizz partially dried down, then go in with the curler piece. I am about to give it a go as I just received mine (as I said super late but hoping it'll help someone out) 😊

    So happy that it works for you! I’ve tried every way to use this, follow instructions to the word but it doesn’t produce lasting results like you. I’ve ask my hair stylist and he said the curling works better on already wavy or curly hair, be it natural or permed. I have poker straight hair and living in a humid country definitely doesn’t work.

  • @shazzye5920

    Best video I’ve seen by far. I’m 50 and have long thick hair that’s been relaxed into submission. I think this is great for mid length and short hair bc it won’t take 2 hours and you’ll get great volume. It’s not a hard pass (I have the hair dryer and love it) but I’m going to wait and see if they tweak the next version a bit. The way it is now, I’ll have a burnt scalp and crippled joints by the time I’m done!

    Finally! Someone who uses the silly thing correctly and we can see how it works. I’m not a die hard fan of all Dyson products. (I really dislike their take on the public hand dryer. It makes puddles on the floor.) However, I do believe the company puts a lot of effort into developing new applications of their technology. I don’t appreciate vloggers tanking a product from ineptitude and spite.
    That said, I’m not convinced long and or stubborn hair will hold the curls with this appliance.

    I think this is one of the best reviews because you actually figured it out and how to use it, i think most people just dived right in and was like lets check it out, its complicated, over it lol
    Btw it looked like ear got really red, is it that hot?

  • @unkownsadi
    @unkownsadi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can move the curling barrel back and forth or up and down to take the heat away from the root, but then help it dry the root so it doesn’t just sit there and get too hot

    Omgosh..I was soo confused about the curl attachment…I couldn’t figure out why it was blowing my curls forward and I saw the arrows…so thank you..I get it now…one attachment for one way and on for the other way…haha thank you!

    I wish u'd do more realistic, day-to-day vlogs as well. Dubai, glamming up, Gucci/Louis, caviar... it's redundant and we see it all over Insta/real life. The Kardashian lifestyle is boring and overrated - i'd love to see how you're adjusting to life in Dubai as a (sort of) newlywed! Running your household, going out, day-to-day activities etc.
    I hope you consider adding these bits and bobs of your life to the channel... you seem lovely and we'd love to see a more real side of you. :)

    You are the only one who has had your hand lower down the hair. The amount of times I have seen people with their hand in the middle of their hair or higher makes me want to scream AND they do not even section it. Well done.

    I honestly want to buy this so I can try it for myself. No one seems to use their regular products with this device or follow the directions completely. Your still supposed to use a heat protectant, and any mousse/gel/oil you normally would and your supposed to dry the hair 80%. The curls/style won’t hold if you don’t use your normal products. 😣

      That’s what I thought… I have a simple brush dryer, I don’t use often because I learnt to enjoy my hair naturally but some times I do use and I let my hair dry naturally to kept in the moisture till a actually use the brush dryer and man, it look and feel phenomenal, my hair is longer then her, it takes me about 15 min and I don’t even Sectionize like that.

    I love that you don't add a bunch of loud pop/house music to your video in the background! It's subtle and when you do the speed forward you don't turn the music up loud in between. almost everyone does that and it's so annoying and cheapens the video.
    You keep it classy 👌🏼

    Really liked this video. I have wavy hair so I wanted to see someone with wavy hair use it. Your hair turned out beautiful. I did see a dyson hairdresser day that they recommend people with wavy hair to first use the brush attachment and get it to 70% dry and then use the curling attachments for a smoother result. Do tell if you give that a shot.

    I think the biggest advantage is that with this Dyson is that you don’t have to burn your air with 300 heat degrees instead use air at more moderated temperature. I got mine, yes my hair doesn’t look like curl iron look , dyson is more natural look and more gentle with your hair especially if you have your hair dyed. Another tip use finishing product if you want longer results. It’s expensive but I felt bad using curling iron on my hair long term is really bad I had to chop my hair is the reason I got a Dyson.

    Tips for less time consuming, first dry the roots and mids with the smoothing paddle brush. Than take bigger sections and dry ends plus half mids.. Bigger sections give bigger curls, and the roots will be smooth....

    I agree. It’s not for super long hair. But med to short. It’s a hard pass. Possibly if it ever goes on sale for like 50%+ off.
