This is why I'm addicted to this channel !! I'm a gourmand lover just like you. I'm on a perfume hunt, trying to replace Hypnotic Poison edt (one of my favorite perfumes of all time) cause the 2019 reformulation doesn't do anything for me. I always had my eyes on this line bc of my love for almonds so this video was def helpful.

Just sayin- I got a killer vintage Hypnotic Poison on Ebay- it’s from 2009 or so. I recommend trying to find one!
It’s not as sexy, but Enzo amour has a very similar vibe.

I am so obsessed with GON since I received my bottle last week! Going back to this video to see if I might need any of the flankers. Because I have been wearing it 3-4 times a day. I love that it is an abstract gourmand and doesn’t smell exactly like anything edible. Some say baklava but nah, not to me. At lead not my mother’s baklava which had a lot of cinnamon and cloves.
Maybe I should get GON Shine!

Thank you! Just keep in mind that shine and the original are very similar but I can’t decide between the two because of the beautiful amount of pistachio that is in the original 😍😍 hope you like it if you try it. ☺️

I absolutely LOVE Girl of Now and the Forever flanker. I've not tried "Shine" as so many have compared it to the original, there's no need for me to fix what ain't broke, so I don't even have the desire to try it. I can really appreciate your descriptions of each one. You look amazingly beautiful, be Blessed!

the whole GON line is beautiful! I owned them and decided to gift all 3 of them...
if i could rank them, I'd say GON original , Shine, and Forever too.
i kept the original, until I learned that I get a similar-ish feel that I want from it, in LVEB Intensement.
Not the same in terms of note composition, but it satiates the thick and sweet feel I want...
It’s crazy how one fragrance can make you smell notes you never smelled in other fragrances. ❤️ I don’t think I’ll get rid of mine, but I agree that the intensement gives off a similar vibe. I love that one too!
@@AmyGlam GON is a beautiful work of art by Dominique Ropion and Sophie Labbe- 2 badasses. I hope you don’t ever get rid of it- I never will though perhaps I will also try that LVEB Intensement!

Do you think GON shine is worth getting if you already have GON? Also has your GONS change color to a deeper orange like GON? Bc mine is much darker than how yours looks like. I also had a sample of GONS before I bought a fb and I smelled way more pineapple in the sample than the fb, idk why, wondering if maybe it’s an older batch or smth.

I prefer the shine version, it has something that the original hasn't, not only the pinapple note, but also something else! The original is very cloying to me, sometimes it gives me a headache, but i still love it though, in winter it leaves an amazing trail

Do you notice the Iris scent in the Shine version? That’s my fave flower. It looks like Shine is the only one with iris as a fragrance note

Awesome breakdown of the fragrances! I have the first 2 (original and shine). I would like to note that the ylang-ylang in the shine version can leave a urine-like scent on certain people due to skin chemistry (me included 😞). So just be mindful, test it on your skin first.

I never gave too much thought to this line of perfumes. I do own the original, and I do really like it, and after watching this video, I'm intrigued to smell the pineapple in the Shine version 🌻🧐☕️
The shine version is definitely on the sweeter side and can be cloying to some people but it’s a beautiful scent as well 🥰
Forever flanker is the least cloying for me, well-balanced. The berries and rose, balances the ultra gourmande that create headache and made me avoid eating desserts when im wearing it.
i love gourmand too although in the summer people might find it sickening, in those times i will wear cloud

I do not agree with the strong Orange Blossom note here because the Magnolia is much stronger in the GoN OG than Orange Blossom.. like 90%-10% but yeah in general it's an almond bomb

I went to the link below for the original, and there looks so different from the one you showed. I would like to purchase that same dark color OG (G.O.N) you have. And what oz size is that one.
OMG I own all the girl of now and my bottles are the same size as yours ( 1 oz or 30 ml for the forever one an 1,6 ox or 50 ml for the other two)I love them all but the girl of now orignal the most then shine and forever the least ( YEP just like you 😊)and will not rebuy that one. The way you smell them is also how the smell to me 👍. I am on my third bottle of G.O.N orginal I just did not buy the other two until I bought orginal one for the third time. So to me you are spot on and get thumbs up 😁😉

Which girl of now ist longlasting and more like a beast in longlasting?
I love all of these. Forever smells good on the dry down but at first that black currant makes it smell sourly first. Not my favorite note. Shine is my favorite.
I did notice the sour note last night when I wore it but I faded quickly on me.. if not I think I would’ve decluttered it. Shine is so juicy and beautiful 😍

Hi! I don’t think they are similar.. the only thing they share in common is that almond note. In hypnotic poison I get tons of almond and vanilla and in Girl of now I get a more complex scent.. almond, pistachio, lots of orange blossom and the patchouli makes it sexy and long lasting. 🥰
I have girl of now shine, I love it so much that I got a bigger bottle! I'm thinking of getting the other 2 still....
After trying the original I just had to own them all. 😍 it’s on my top must haves for sure 🙌🏼

That Forever bottle is the cutest thing I've ever seen!! I haven't crossed paths with any Ellie Saab scents in the wild...would you say any of them would be a safe blind buy? I know I love both sweet gourmands and fresh citrusy scents.
If you like gourmand and fresh and citrusy I think the forever one would be best. I think they are safe blind buys but only if you like sweet scents. I fell in love with all of them and the lasting power is amazing as well. 😍
Yes- the original is a safe blind buy though it may take a wearing to understand. To me it is an abstract gourmand- it’s perfect and now it’s my signature!

They didn’t have shine at the store but I tried the OG gon I loved it but I have ordered the shine online as it was on sale and I’ve read loads of good reviews of the shine. I hope I like it and is similar to the original as I love that one. I might get the original in the winter. Definitely signature worthy
I didnt like GON at first sniff. It was too strong for my nose but it grew on me... now i love it and bought the gorgeous bottle😍

Because I just got elie saab royale and omg it lasts and I have soooo many perfumes ( huge collection as I worked in perfumes) and this says a lot...and now I want all of them as when you have so many perfumes you just want ones that last really well
This line is amazing and I do find enough differences in them to own all three. The shine and t be original are pretty close to each other but that pineapple note in shine is worth having. They last a really long time too 🙌🏼🥰
Have your tried Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Essence? I highly recommend it if you love orange blossom. I love it! 💕

You are absolutely right 😞 I realized as I was editing that I forgot to go into the lasting power and projection of the fragrance. I will be sure to make a list to go by for my next reviews.
These last a really long time on me and my skin usually eats up fragrance quick. They also have very good projection and people around me noticed it and complimented me on them. ☺️

Oh no-can u smell the patchouli a lot? I hate patchouli but i love gourmand and almond sweet scents. 2nd thoughts now cos of patchouli, same thing for the shine? LVEB intensement says it had patchouli but i totally do not get one drop of it to my nose. Anyone else?
The patchouli in them is the most beautifully done patchouli! It isn’t dirty or earthy at all. It actually gives the fragrance a sexiness and just makes it longer lasting but the sweetness and the other notes are definitely the stars in them 🥰❤️
Have you let your girl of now Macerate there as The juice is a lot darker than mine or maybe as this vid was 2 yrs have they changed it perhaps?
Yes, my girl of now is one of the first perfumes I got when I started to really collect perfumes. Mine always had a bit of a dark color but it definitely got darker over time for sure 🥰

I haven’t found a Body mist that reminds me of girl of now yet 😣 but Zara does have a perfume that smells so much like girl of now it’s called Violet Blossom ☺️
I blind bought the original girl of now ;however, when I wear it I hate it. The perfume gave me a headache and made me sick for the whole day :(
People here says that the ( forever ) one is lighter and great for summer but I am afraid that it will do the same thing as the first one.
I think if the original one was strong for you I would for sure try a sample of it first. Forever is definitely lighter and airy but when it dries down I still get the dna of the original.. just toned down some. ☺️

How is the longevity on them?
I noticed when I was editing that I didn’t mention the longevity 🤦🏻♀️ so sorry. The longevity on them is amazing! My skin eats up fragrances and they almost never last past 3-4 hours. These last all day on me. I wore forever last night to bed and woke up, made breakfast, had me coffee, edited another video and I could still smell it on me. 😍
