The home I bought from Lennar came with two Ruckus AP's installed on the 1st and 2nd-floor ceilings and I've been able to set those up. The issue I am having is setting up this Ruckus 7150... In another video, you mentioned getting a USB C to USB A which I have ordered (thanks). I cannot find anything online to help me configure the ICX 7150. Can you direct me to a link or some material, please? I only have experience configuring simple home networking routers etc. This seems very different. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
You don't need to have any configuration on the switch unless there is something specific you are trying to do. It will just pass the traffic through to the router.

I have no material to study in order to set this up. Usually, with my Netgear router, I have instructions to follow (u know). The more I search the more confused I seem to get and I think I'm OK with Tech. I hear things like Telnet/No web GUI... I'm lost pretty much. Forgive my ignorance.
You need to use a terminal program with the console cable (or SSH if you know it's IP) Download PuTTY choose serial connection and set to 9600, 8,n,1,n th-cam.com/video/YXR4xhkw3q8/w-d-xo.html
Probably power surge or overheating killed the power supply. If you are the original owner call Ruckus tech support and see if they will replace under warranty. If you bought used you are out of luck.
yes, those are the 12 PoE capable ports (module 1), to their right is 2x non-PoE ports (module 2) and to their right is 2x SFP/SFP+ ports (module 3). All are Ethernet but I assume you mean RJ45 Ethernet.
My Ruckus 7150 is connected to an internet modem and configured to provide wifi access, including an access point. If the modem goes down, can I configure the 7150 switch to continue providing wifi access?
If the access point is seperate from the modem then yes the wifi will continue to function but obviously you will not have internet access without the modem.
@@TerryHenry but I have a DVR with 3 cameras connected directly to the Ruckus switch and they stay accessible remotely while the internet modem/router is down with all the other wifi devices as not being accessible. Is that mean if I connect all my wifi devices to my access point, they will be functional
Nothing is working? Like the power light doesn't come on, or it doesn't switch or you can't get to the console? Start with the Ruckus ICX Switch Quick Start Guide or the Hardware Installation Guide from support.ruckuswireless.com
sure, you take an Ethernet cable and plug in it to the switch and the other end into the router. Done. Maybe try the RUCKUS Education channel th-cam.com/video/vFD_ByQWGH0/w-d-xo.html

Andrei Nitu - yeah only the rubber feet. the 2 post, 4 post and magnet mount are all seperate skus.

What are the APs 310 - 510 ? unleash type?

exactly like any other ruckus switch. It's just smaller.
ATT is going to 5 Gig, can the 7150 put out at least 5Gig to all 12 ports?

how do you check the mac address of the device via cli? not the mac address of the port, just the device's mac address

This is a switch and does not have a wifi name and password.
i got this switch today, do you know the username and password of the browser log-in console? in SSH theres no assigned UN or PASSWORD.
