"Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)" an international 1st. hit single released back in 1985 by Mike & The Mechanics has a smooth flow. The musical arrangement is outstanding. The message conveyed in the lyrics are just as relevant today as it was 40 years ago.💫🎤🎸🎹🥁🔊🔥🎧
Another great track from Mike and the mechanics with the voice of Paul Carrack. 'Now that you're gone' is another good one. Paul was also vocalist on Tempted by Squeeze, checkout 'Hourglass' by them-great!
Taken In is my favorite song and video by Mike and the Mechanics! Enjoyed your take on this one! I believe you are right but you seem to always get them right! Have a blessed day!
Mike Rutherford was the central idea-guy of Genesis. The primary lyricist, which is why his name is always listed last in the lyrics credits, because that's him being humble and generous. Mike + The Mechanics is what Mike Rutherford did as a creative outlet, during Phil Collins's solo career. He hired a Phil Collins soundalike to sing, and when that guy left, Mike found another Phil Collins soundalike to replace that one. Mike + The Mechanics was basically how Mike kept Genesis-ing without Phil. Eventually, Phil came back to Genesis and Mike + The Mechanics were over. All of the Mike + The Mechanics songs were carried over into Genesis's concert playlists.
Never heard this song before....sounds real good! All of the songs on their first LP/CD are top notch including the song "Nobody's Perfect" from "The Living Years" LP/CD.
So sad to see the late Paul Young playing tambourine in this song. He was formerly in the band SAD CAFE who had a huge hit with "Everyday Hurts". He passed away from a heart attack when he was young.
So glad you are featuring the amazing voice of Paul Carrack! Former member of the band ACE, who had a huge hit with "How Long", and former member of the group MIKE & THE MECHANICS" who had massive success with songs like this, and "The Living Years". The Eagles are big fans of Pal Carrack and have covered some of Paul Carracks songs.
Love that you did another Mike + the Mechanics song! Another great song I’d suggest by them is Out of the Blue. It has a slightly different feel, as the group reformed in the 2010s with new lead singers, but it’s awesome! Loved your reaction to this, and other songs, as well!
This is probably my favourite song of Mike and the Mechanics. Paul Carrack's voice is just the best! ❤ Another Mike and the Mechanics recommendation "Don't Know What Care Over Me" it's a different lead singer, (Andrew Roachford) great singer
Hey Jay, can you react to "Fool If You Think It's Over" by Chris Rhea? You've done several of his songs, but not this one, which is one of his most famous ones. Thanks!
Hey J, next time you do KENNY ROGERS, please do the duet of KENNY and KIM CARNES singing, DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH A DREAMER. Do the live version. Also check out the video of KENNY singing BEAUTIFUL ALL THAT YOU COULD BE. He's singing about his son Chris while home movies of them both play in the background.
jay some metal suggestions you need to hear 1.Hear N' Aid - Stars. this song has a bunch of hair band singers and hair band guitarist from the 80s here's a link to the best video m.th-cam.com/video/G5H94GHb-10/w-d-xo.html 2.black Sabbath -Heaven and Hell this has Ronnie James dio on vocals and the bass riff is great here's a link to the best version m.th-cam.com/video/5FRA7UXlGu8/w-d-xo.html 3.Deep Purple-lazy this song rocks hard here's a link to the best version m.th-cam.com/video/dqM5L5JQseI/w-d-xo.html. all 3 of these songs will blow your mind you will not be disappointed

"All I Need Is a Miracle --- ALL I Need is YOU! " is probably my favorite song from Mike and the Mechanics but this is a pretty good song !

Such a deep, sad song but I really enjoyed it. Thanks, Jay 🙂
This is a deep song. It’s a good one. Although, I don’t recall ever hearing this before. I like it.
It was such a great song in 1995. Very British. But it was big in Germany
Mike and the Mechanics formed when Phil Collins took a hiatus from Genesis.
Actually formed by Mike Rutherford of Genesis, not Phil Collins.
HE IS RIGHT , READ AGAIN HE NEVER SAID PHIL COLLINS FORMED MIKE & THE MECHANICS. @@danwagner1702

Mike & the Mechanics had some of the most profound, thought provoking lyrics found in 80s songs.
Appreciate you J!

Really good song. Nice pick. Note that's Paul Carrack on the lead vocal, also the primary lead vocalist on "Tempted" by Squeeze.

Your fans are showing their love for you in every song choice. I love this song.
I have a suggestion for a song you can react to. It's called "Passionate Kisses" by Mary Chapin Carpenter. 😊
Hi😊 wish you would listen to Train Drops of Jupiter. It was written for the lead singer's mother who died. I'm 62 years old and I love it. Thanks
Please react to Céline Dion’s the power of the dream
Not the same, the magic is gone.
Nobody's making you stay.

Por favor reaccion a la canción de la celula que explota del grupo mexicano caifanes (video oficial)
Why are you talking over the video, instead of pausing it??
I prefer the comments as the song is playing instead of stopping the song multiple times.
Hi there J from South England, just sub. Can I suggest you react to Skunk Anansie, Hedonism
Good song good reaction
Mike and the mechanics really are a shit band, find some decent music.
LOL 😂 ✌️
Is your life so bad that you need to tear down others? If you don't like a group or singer or genre, don't open the video. Wishing you peace and better days.
@ my life is great, without shit music from a crap no talent band with fans without any taste! Arsehole
This may come as a surprise to you but the channel is not about only playing what you like.
This sucks now. I'm unsubscribed. Why did you have to fuck up your marriage?
You won't be missed. And if the door should happen to hit you on your way out, so much the better.
Mike and the Mechanics formed when Phil Collins took a hiatus from Genesis.
Incorrect. Mike And The Mechanics was formed by Mike Rutherford of Genesis. In your scenario, it would have been Phil And The Mechanics!!!😂🤣
