    4. A bag contains 5 red balls, 3 black balls, and 2 green balls. Whenever a red ball is drawn, it is replaced in the bag and an extra red ball is added to the bag. Whenever a black ball is drawn, it is not replaced and no extra balls are added. Whenever a green ball is drawn, it is replaced in the bag, and a red ball is removed from the bag. 2 balls are drawn, one after another.
    a. Find the probability that at least one of the balls drawn is red.
    b. Given that at least one of the balls drawn is red, find the probability that both balls drawn are
    red.

I'm currently on my second year in Civil Engineering and oddly, I'm dealing with both Differential and Integral Calculus on both semesters and ever since I found out about your video of derivatives months ago, you've helped a lot in letting us - not just me but a handful of my friends as well who took up the same math classes as I did and recommended links to your videos - understand the foundations of calculus. After having my first lesson in anti-derivatives this morning, I immediately went on TH-cam to check your videos out about integration to further delve into the subject. I'm learning a lot thanks to you!

As opposed to being a traditional school teacher, it looks like he is making a sizeable income through his youtube partnership and online tutoring business. It looks though at this point, he's teaching simply because he wants to, which is a reason why his teaching is so great and easy to learn from, also not being bound by the school books. I'm quite envious really. Keep doing your thing professor!

@gabuas You add +C at the end because that C could be any number which is a constant. Remember doing anti derivative is backwards and there is a +C there because there was a number there before the derivative. When you go back using anti derivative the +C is added back because you don't know the exact number that was there its just a Constant. C is any number.

thank you for making these videos!, my calculus teacher is a mean mean old man and he just makes everything 100X more complicated and doesnt show us step by step. your videos really reallly help & i figured out how to execute newtons method in 10 minutes yay! lol. as well as integrals. he gives us the weirdest hardest problems, sad part is, hes writting the final as well as the in class exams.

I've been watching a few of your videos, and they're fantastic. You explain in a clear and concise way, and keep your videos at an appropriate length (where I'm not bored, but at the same time I'm still learning quite a bit). I'll definitely use these videos for Calc II.

Hey man, great video. I just wanted to mention that there is a much easier way to do that trig problem. After you factor out the sin(theta), use Tan^2(theta) +1 =sec^2(theta) identity. Then you plug in sec^2(theta) for that (1+tan^2(theta)). This way you have sin(theta)(sec^2(theta)) / sec^2(theta). Then divide the sec^2(theta) from both top and bottom. This leaves you with finding the antiderivative of sintheta, which is -cos theta + C.

    Take the integral:
    integral e^(tan(x)) sec^2(x) dx
    For the integrand e^(tan(x)) sec^2(x), substitute u = tan(x) and du = sec^2(x) dx:
    = integral e^u du
The integral of e^u is e^u:
    = e^u+constant
    Substitute back for u = tan(x):
    Answer: |
    | = e^(tan(x))+constant

    Pretty good problems.
Well, I've noticed that Problem 3# can be solved using an easier way which is this:
    Intg of sin(x)+sin(x)tan^2(x) / sec^2(x) = sin(x)( 1 + tan^2(x))/sec^2
*By knowing that 1 + tan^2(x) = sec^2(x)*, we can make it like this:
    ((sin(x)sec^2(x)))/sec^2(x) = sin(x)
Then eventually when we integrate it, it becomes -cos(x) + C
    Thank you very much. :)

That would be true for differentiation, we are integrating meaning we are doing the opposite. In integration you add +1 first, then divide by the resulting power of "x".
