I wish I would have taken time to watch this sooner. That was really cool. I would have never thought to use an ultrasound cleaner to clean fossils. Also the fossils themselves were pretty cool. I’ll be tuning in more often
I don't know what the matrix surrounding *his* chain corals is, but I have identical fossils here in Michigan--the US State that looks like a giant mitten on the map--and the matrix is limestone. The limestone can be removed with a vinegar bath PLUS a lot of brushing with an old toothbrush.
Wooow, what a commitment with this 8-minute timer!😁 I love that you look for news ways and methods for fossils to look amazing!
I have to , if i want them to look amazing😁
Wow. Those chain corals are stunning. They look amazing. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure Darlene!:) glad you've enjoyed my little experiment
Thanks for guiding me to this video. I think I will buy one with a longer timer. The fossil corals are beautiful!
Dont forget thet this process took me quite a while!
End results of those chain corals are amazing. Great video and advice on how and what to do. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Thanks Lisa!:)
They came out really nice ❤ the chain coral!
I like the result too😁🙏
Wow, I'm really suprised by the results! Thanks for the video.
My pleasure! 😁

Thanks for kinds words man!:)
Good experiment Jarek ,mixed results but love the Chain coral ❤
The nicest ones survived:))
@@Amberscape Yes definitely the best 👌
First comment 🙂 Really cool idea with the ultrasound! This could also work on ammonites and other fossils, couldn't it? Keep on going!
Oh im not sure this needs more testing:)
What a great idea! And you are right! It's pretty silly that the machine only runs for 8 minutes.
Well its designed not for fossils, there industrial ones that runs infinitely - but more expensive and takes more space😁
A very nice experiment! Will you get a bigger one and keep on using these kinds of cleaners to prep?
Yes for sure, a lot safer than vinegar:)
What kind of matrix is around the corals? How big is the density difference between the matrix and the coral?
Limestone:), not sure about density but matrix is easily rock solid
