The fact Redknapp and Carra weren't sure about Gakpo when he signed is CRAZY. I knew from the moment we signed him that he's one of the best young forwards in the world, and Klopp was just badly misusing him. I can't understand how former pros didn't recognise it🤔. Genuinely, it was SO obvious how good he was right from the off. He's got 16 goals and 5 assists. That's without starting the first 7 games of the season, so it could be even better than that. The lad is very clearly extremely calm and composed in front of goal.
He'll be the next biggest G/A man when Salah leaves. Capable of 30 goals all comps, easy.
Also, every time Szobo plays well, it's acknowledged... but then it's followed by "he should get more goals still." He's scored 2 in his last 3 games, as well as having a MASSIVE influence on the way the game goes. Criminally underappreciated, and his role isn't understood by people who should get it.
It's the same shit when certain 'people' are ready to banter Liverpool when Klopp signed for us...
Klopp was the hype and media were raving about him when he won at Bundesliga and get to UCL final .... every club ready to sign him, the moment the wheels feel off at Dortmund, the narrative been turn.... then we signed Slot AND loads of Klopp's fan girls are crying, moaning about how we gonna end up mid table yada, yada, yada 🙄 .... theose 'people' aren't even Liverpool supporters ....

Totally agree, ive been saying it for a year now, Gakpo is Liverpool's best finisher, not Jota. Certainly not Salah. I also love how Gakpo can go inside but also outside and use his left foot better than most. The only weakness from Gakpo for me is his short passing. sometimes he gives a shocking weight or angle on very basic short passes.

Very unpopular opinion here, and most will think I'm crazy... but imo Konate is the most important kog in the Liverpool defence. Yes, even more important in defending than Virgil. He's the one that really fights for the clean sheets. The one that's really hungry and aggressive in tackles.
It's weird, so many pundits wax lyrical about Virgil and completely forget about Konate🤔. You just have to look at the lack of solidity when Konate was injured for a few games. It's very obvious that we started leaking goals much easier.
Virgil is the better footballer and more important in some ways, but Konate is the better pure defender.
