Whether I won or lost, I would still feel privileged to have race a classic muscle car at Mt Panorama. What a great feeling it must be to emulate your childhood heroes..
Mt. Panorama is to the Australia as Daytona International Speedway is to America. Iv been to Daytona. Iv experienced the speed. But I haven’t experienced the thrill of Bathurst.. What I’d Give to to just take one lap, In a golf cart for all I care.., Just to traverse up the mountain & exit out of forest elbow as flat out as possible..Project Cars 2 does a good job of giving you an idea.. But it’s no where near enough for me.
Great race. Makes a joke of Supercars. Historic racing all over the world is getting bigger crowds than the current offering. Pity all you can hear is the inane commentary that doesn't stop for breath.

Johnson should of let Garwood past on the capri he would of caught up to bowe and seton the young Tasmanian is driving good has got this car setup right and probly dominate TCM for the remaining races have a look at the incar footage from this race in the capri the exhaust sounds quiet and he was short shifting well before redline but still passing everything in front of him
So, a red torana flys passed a white torana and leaves it behind. What did we learn from that? We learned none of this race makes any sense. 2 cars that look exactly the same but 1 is way faster than the other. There's ZERO reason to show that to anyone. Obviously red paint made the car go faster. Your whole industry is absurd. There's 10 different cars but they're roughly the same. This stuff makes NO sense. Toranas can only do 80 km per hour but somehow your toranas can do 200 kms per hour. But those wind spoilers look exactly the same as what's on the putt putt street toranas. Roughly the same yet vastly different. You've manipulated every aspect to the point of making NO sense to anyone. There's zero reason to watch this absurd parade.

Anyone can drive the track as it is a tourist drive. My first lap there was about midnight and that was fun!!
Though it is a 60kmh speed limit.
Even at 60 kph, it feels quick going over the top!
It's more like Daytona, Indy, and Watkins combined.

I think most of those later cars are the NZ cars just over there for the Bathurst meeting.
