the only thing i disliked about ben 10 growing up was how, on so many occasions, they made gwen seem like she was weaker than kev and ben when, realistically, she's the strongest. her shields always shattered, she'd always be knocked out or need support, or she'd become weakened really fast. and i feel the writers did it just so she could never outshine ben. i often found myself liking her way more than ben or kevin.

@@bushybrovvs Yes, because when a human's young (think of a child for instance), their immunity is on a max level and due to the hormonal changes and production in humans when they're in their youth, Gwen fell weaker in these series than she was in the classic. She was way stronger and better in the classic series. Do recall that her shield never broke in the classic everytime she summoned it, no matter how powerful the opponent's impact on the shield was. In this show, she began to doubt herself, because it's normal when we're in our teenage years.

I loved Gwen so much, she was so underrated, I always felt that she should've had her own show alongside Ben's show because Gwen's journey to becoming a hero would be amazing seeing her face against other alien and mystical beings. such a missed opportunity there.

It's not a nonsense statement as nigh-omniptience is an actual thing in fiction. Nigh simply means near so nigh omnipotence simply means she is nearly omnipotent. She can do almost anything with her powers but not everything.
Nigh omnipotent beings in fiction wield almost supreme power but have some form of limitation to their power that prevents true omnipotence. A great example would be Alien X who can do anything but is only nigh omnipotent due to his dual personalities having to agree before taking any form an action.

I really love Gwen's powers but I hate how her shields broke so easily.

We need a Gwen spinoff man the entire time I watched Ben 10 was when she started using magic, it's so underrated plus the magic theme was so much more exciting than the aliens. Heck, I'd love a show like this but with full on magic
Gwen had so much potential. Clearly powerful but we never got to see the full extent. Seeing her grandma and cousin is just proof of all she is capable of. To be fair her grandma did say it’d take decades to master her powers but still

@sokratis konomi have u ever read a superman story hell even the justice league superman is literally written with no limits. He never throughly has to struggle with wat ever hes doing he is never at a disadvantage .he always wins and states hes never uses his full power despite how powerful the badguy is he is always able to one shot a character. Eg crushing fates helmet in injustice which was suppose to be impossible since it mabe by the power of a god billions of years old. Ben is alot like superman cause he is egostical. Always gets his way. Never actually struggles because he is written to be the most powerful despite beings like dagon and gwen the depower them and make be even better and smarter despite he was kind of an idiot he had the same plot armor as sam and dean.

A disguise form. Her grandma wants to destroy her body and free her anodite inside. Once she frees it, it would be like her grandma being free spirited. That's why Verdona said that, "you're just too young to make up your own mind. Trust me grown up parties are so much fun."

Gwen's change to mana instead of elemental forces and energy was a bit disappointing at first, but at least she used mana in unique ways her old powers wouldn't allow.

I feel like they downgraded her magic from the original when she was ten. Here it just seems like she can only make solid things out of mana. Before she was making tornados and using telekinesis.

U think it's weak because sometimes the objects or beam that make contact with the shield is a lot stronger than the amount of mana gwen has, but sometimes there are things that can't break through her shield (the ball of goo from the DNA aliens mouth, Dark Star's absorbing ray, Manny and Helen's guns). Another reason why her shield is breakable is her mana power is somewhat Sealed inside her body vessel, original form of an Anodite can generate shields that literally almost nothing can break through like grandma Verdona or Gwen's cousin - Sunny, although in Ledgerdomain Gwen is able to manifest a crazy amount of mana out because she was inside the source of all magic, in there the rock monsters have a hard time flinching her. If Gwen can control her inside Anodite she can be litterally one of the most powerful being in her world (said Dagon) and I'm talking about the Alien Force and Ultimate Alien version not the shitty Omniverse becauss fuck Omniverse. So u know notthing pal

For me she is a Good Support Character She is So Useful Even though they wont Let her Ge through her Full Potential She Can Make Everything with her Power she can Make Shields out of it she Can Sense Someone or Something she Can be a Great Distraction and most of the time Can Protect her Teammates But They wont let her Shine or Get her Full Potential.
It's almost impossible not to be attracted to all three of them.

I noticed alot of "Alien Force" episodes take place at night, while the "original Ben 10" "Ultimate Alien" and "Omniverse"; take place during the day.
Cupcake Killer I think it was because of the vibe. When I compare this version of Ben 10 to the others a get a more mature vibe, which I find night being the most appropriate time to suit this series. Also I feel like when this came out a lot of the kids who watched to earlier versions were starting to mature and go through puberty so of course the writers wanted to have the show grow with them to fit the themes of their current life.
Reading this... it does make me thing. I wonder if it's because in Alien Force is when Ben's identity was not revealed, and he mostly fought aliens at night because that's when he could do it under the cover of night and avoid getting caught. When in Ultimate Alien, his identity was revealed, so there was no reason to publicly fight aliens with Kevin and Gwen. But then again, the original Ben 10 when they were kids... it happened in the day...

@@theplug1258 No, he is not. Anodites don't have DNA. They are composed 100% thus any child they have will be 100% whatever race the anodite's partner is in this case human. However, in some occasions they have "the spark" like gwen did (meaning she became an anodite) in other words it can only be either human or anodite. Ben is completely human and gwen in an anodite.
