- Where is the best beach destination in Kerala? Some people swear by Kovalam. But for me there's a clear winner in Varkala. Varkala cliff is an amazing place to stay for a week or two! I'm feeling right at home here.
Staying at a basic home stay a two minute walk from the north cliff. Perfect. Everything on my doorstep. Apart from ATMs, mobile stores and pharmacies. You need to go to Varkala town for anything important. So here I am heading to Varkala town....
I now have a 5 year India e-visa allowing me to stay for 180 days per calendar year. How wonderful is that?
So in Varkala you have a choice of staying at accommodation in North Cliff or South Cliff. The previous time I stayed I’d spent one night at North Cliff, didn’t really like the vibe and moved to the quieter part of Varkala at South Cliff.
I soon realized that South Cliff was a pale shadow of what it used to be five years earlier and having spent a night there I decided to go look at North Cliff instead. Wandering around looking for my perfect dream home a lady in her night dress asked if I was looking for accommodation and led me to this place. Cold water shower. My own balcony. My own router. 1,000 rupees a night. Oh the joy, the joy. I’ll take it fair maiden!

I always eat fruit in the Philippines: bananas, pineapple, coconut, rambutan, mangos, etc…
But can you get a fruit cup with mussly and curd? - No!
Plus all philippinies make fun of you for eating fruit. They think you don't have money for rice and pork and have to subsist on bananas.😂😂😂

I've been coming to India since 1987. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it here. Just harder this time transitioning having spent a long time in the Phils.

You should check out Central America. Tons of women, beautiful beaches, and much more livid than India. Honduras hosts tons of English and Aussie expats. Cheap guesthouses and local fruit. What better way to fancy life mate! Cheers!

I'm in Kerala, not Goa. You're ahead of me. No chance of me attending a techno rave nowadays. Did that in 1997 when youth and hair was on my side.
