Like Fibi Dela Cruz (the other comment on this video said), I was wondering why is shutdown condition only for PC firms? It is intuitive for me to believe that if long run average revenue (LRAR) is smaller than LRAC then firms have no incentive to stay in the market as they are unable to attain supernormal profits and therefore shutdown and exit the market. Perhaps it is because the shutdown condition for PC firms are unique in the sense that it can be a temporary shutdown but for other firms it is not? Please clarify, thanks!
