That bulk at the easing in is so difficult. I'm looking forward to trying to just smash it down like you did. I have had real troubles with this before.
Agreed! I'm sure you will get it with a bit of practice. I have also used some double sided adhesive tape (such as "stitch witchery") on really swimmy fabrics like rayon that don't want to hold a crease. I hope this helps!
@@amyashworth9259 it worked very well. I had used two basting threads for gathering the ease before hemming, and I left the farther from the stitch line in to help hold the gather for the folding and stitching of the felled seam. That also made it easier, and I will do it that way again.
Yes, I do it. you have to really tunnel in there, unless you have a feed off the arm. It can be done with a flat bed, as long as the sleeve isn't too small.
Thank you! One of the few that shows how do do a difficult, real world case, rather than simply joining to 20x20 cm scraps.
Thank you! ❤️
Great video. It is a joy to see the flat felled seam applied to garments as opposed to using an overlocker/serger. With thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent video! Using different fabrics really helped make the technique clear.
Great Video! Thank you!
Thank you
Outstanding!
Thanks

@@Twisterjoe that’s great! Very good idea to leave in that basting stitch!
This is just what I was looking for. Thank you!!
So glad to help!

Thank you Raquel~
Good job
Thank you!
Is it possible to do a flat felled seam down the length of the arm / to close in the arm?

@@amyashworth9259 okay thanks! Would you every consider making a video showing how?
@@amyashworth9259 and any idea what machine / model feed off the arm machine you would get? Thank you!!
@@nickwetta4624 that's a great suggestion, I will put it on the list for the next time I have a shirt to make. : ) Thankyou
