    Making apple cider vinegar is so simple. Make with scraps from an apple pie, 1/2 c sugar cover peels with water to within 3" of the top. Cover with a coffee filter and rubberband. Set aside for 30 days. Some people stir it everyday. Strain after 30 days and enjoy.

    Don’t forget spices.. All kinds of spices don’t forget hard candy. It’s a good pick me up, especially for children who are trying to adjust to a new routine and new foods. You’re supposed to stockpile what you eat and eat what you stockpile. Some of the things I eat aren’t on this list. And some of the things on this list what I eat. @@lorishoemaker3906 After COVID, I'm sure most who can afford to, do keep extra reserve for emergencies. Inflation is worldwide, not just here and I know it's concerning but we must not focus all of our attention on worry of what's next, we miss out on the joy and gratitude for all we do have. We don't live in the middle of a war torn country!! We were mostly free to live our lives in peace. Heck most that complain about pricecs at the grocery store or at any store for that matter, still go out multiple times a week to eat. They are still buying phones that cost up to $1000.00 dollars or more, but they still complain and wonder why they can't get ahead. We have raised an entire generation with a disposable mindset. I was raised in a generation where we were taught to use it up and wear it out. Clothes were always passed on. They didn't end up in a landfill. People droves a car for as long as it would still get them where they needed. Hording food isn't the fix. We must adjust and course direct an entire mindset. We must get back to basics. We sat back and let the retailers coveince us we need a whole lot of crap we didn't. Instead we sat back and watched or participated and ended up so far in debt, some will spend the rest of their lives in debt. That debt will be passed on to their children. The homes and farms they worked to hang onto will be lost to their children all because they lived beyond their means.

      The world is going to hell. With this election anything is possible. Maybe you’re not paying attention to things 🤷🏻‍♀️. Any how I prep not just for food storages and inflation but I live in Colorado and in my town most of summer we lost electricity due to heavy rain storms and our water got poisoned for awhile. I live in mountains we got lots of forest fires literally the list goes on. Another reason my husband is a landscaper and during the cold months work slows down means income disappears. We have 4 teenagers. I mean the list goes on why you should be preparing

I stocked up on so many items that I use and nothing happened. I mean good thing but these channels kept saying the same stuff this one is saying. Fear mongers. Now Walmart is supposed to be adding prepper foods to the shelves. I think these videos are to sell those and capitalize further on people wanting to stock up just in case.

      @@robertbedell3355 yes, the prices have more than doubled! Now with the possible ports strikes they say prices will go up even higher due to supply chain disruptions and shortages. I’ve been able to keep buying brands I like for the items that generic won’t do. I agree with your list except peanut oil. I use organic coconut oil,avocado oil or olive oil. I use a lot less coconut oil to fry foods with(if & when I fry)than other oils. I also put a teaspoon in my morning coffee. You can use it for cooking,moisturizing skin,gargling, hair etc. I also have sardines in my pantry bc they are very nutritious for you. And I'm sure you can do a whole video on spices and other items to keep handy,like cayenne pepper. It is good for spicing up food but also for medicinal purposes. It can be used for wound compresses,ulcers,lowering cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes. what is hard tack

    • @TheRiseAndFallOfJasmine
      @TheRiseAndFallOfJasmine 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      Hardtack is a simple, long-lasting type of biscuit or cracker that was historically used as a food source for sailors and soldiers due to its durability. It's made with just a few ingredients, primarily flour and water, and can last for months or even years if stored properly.
      Here’s a basic recipe for **Hardtack**:
      ### Ingredients:
      - 2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
      - ½ to ¾ cup water
      - 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
      ### Instructions:
      1. **Preheat the Oven:** Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
      2. **Mix the Dough:** In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt (if using). Gradually add water, mixing until it forms a stiff dough. The dough should not be sticky.
      3. **Roll Out the Dough:** On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick.
      4. **Cut the Dough:** Cut the dough into squares or rectangles, roughly 3 inches by 3 inches, or whatever size you prefer.
      5. **Poke Holes:** Use a fork or another utensil to poke rows of small holes across the surface of each square. This will allow steam to escape and help the hardtack cook evenly.
      6. **Bake the Hardtack:** Place the dough squares on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes or until they are a light golden color.
      7. **Cool Completely:** Let the hardtack cool thoroughly before storing in an airtight container. For maximum preservation, it can be dried further in a low-temperature oven (about 200°F) for another hour or two.
      ### Storage:
      Hardtack can last for years if stored in a cool, dry place. It’s best stored in an airtight container to prevent moisture absorption.
      ### How to Eat:
      Hardtack is extremely hard, so it’s often soaked in water, coffee, or soup to soften it before eating.

They don’t even give Seniors Citizens on fixed incomes an amount of food stamps to supplement them but the illegals are getting tons of benefits. A person can always donate any extra foods they have if they don’t use them. Anything can happen with the supply chains & outdated power grids including the lines & transformers. The government has already proved little or nothing is done w/infrastructures like bridges & viaducts rusting at the core. There may come a time they’ll be no energy & then what will people do? They’ll freak out because people of today weren’t born in pioneer times. People in general take all this stuff for granted

    I’ve been prepping for quite a while with pretty much everything mentioned.
    Unfortunately with the amounts you claim needed per person I’d have to move my family into a warehouse or try to simply have the funds to buy and live in a full Grocery Plus store.

    What is ghee?

    • @shebbaa33
      @shebbaa33 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Ghee is a type of clarified butter that’s made from heating butter and allowing the liquid and milk portion to separate from the fat. The milk caramelizes and becomes a solid, and the remaining oil is ghee.
      It's healthy and stores well
