I am a huge Stones' fan and Undercover is one of my favourite songs. I always felt that it really captures the essence and feel of living in a dystopian nightmare. Never thought that I could end up living in one
I've not seen this before now. This is much better than the album version. I recently watched it a couple of weeks ago. I didn't like the video or the song when it came out and was on mtv. Too noisy. This is cool and show's their talent. The mtv video was made during the height of the cocaine years and all the violence that came with it.which was not my thang. I'm a weed guy. I tried coke a few times. I could get off more with a cup of 7-11 coffee than expensive cocaine. That's probably why I'm still around at 63 and healthy too. Though I haven't and never will stop smoking weed. Thank you for putting this here
That's another story Mick yaa can play the same way as anyone else but it's hard to shake it too .thanks all of u for your contribution to the world just got hit by that falcon at 220,
hell yes!!!! my first stones album. my dad wanted my mom and I to go to the record store to pick him up a stones record. I came back with this cuz I saw the video on Night Tracks and loved it. My dad, well not so much. He wanted old school stones but, being a kid when undercover was out, I didn't care about their old stuff. These days of course I understand where he's coming from. But, he was wrong to dis this album and to this day it kicks as much ass as it did in 1983.
indeed, I listened to it a couple days ago. I need a better vinyl though, the sticker's are beginning to peel a little. Their albums were always fun and interesting. Some Girls is one of the best covers ever. So is Its only rock n roll.
ha, damn good album, I got the blues is one of the saddest songs ive ever heard but, damn it'll give u chill's its so good. Dead Horses was a lil gem off that record. Man, what a rock band, huh
+charlton mcmillen Geez Charlton....I Got The Blues is one of the best tracks ever....the Stones from 1969 to 1974 were outta this world...why....Mick Taylor :)
misheard lyrics.... when I first heard this, 1983, I heard " 400,000 dead sparrows' !! but I was'nt all that old! hahaha . Great they finally got this together live. I thought they had given up on it!
OMG, 14th of NOVEMBER was the Day my Dad was born. Not surprised 🤨. I also met Paul Hewson on a 14th of NOV. Don't remember what Year, perhaps RICHARDS knows. That man has been around for more time that 1 could vouge 4
I’m glad they kept something from this underrated album in their live catalog. And it comes off better here than in 1989 on the Steel Wheels tour. This song is gritty and a guitar extravaganza and the slick production from 1989 did not serve it well. I like this version much better. No slick production and lots of busy, chunky-sounding guitars. I just wish they would have used the middle section for an extended guitar solo, but oh well, as (literally) they say, you can’t always get what you want.
First time played. That rare hillowbody in pearlessent white that Pete in st Paul stole pups outa and replaced um I believe they shaw buckers dan Otis rip . Anyway all love aside always loved that tune growl .

+Rolling Ormond Too funny. I was there the first night as well. 2nd balcony, stage left in the far corner. I only saw Paul Begala :-( But I had a blast with a couple of fans who had come from California and had never seen the Stones live before.
Rolling Ormond. How on earth do people get a ticket for such rarified shows like this?! Luck? Patience? Connections?! I love Mick's set list ( I would love for Keith to have chosen to rip in to 'Happy' on this occasion though) & the fact that I had predicted they would do 'She Was Hot' was a bonus!
Yes you’re right, but this can can be said about just about any song the Stones performed live beginning in 1989. It’s ironic as there was a time (more or less 1968-1982) where the reverse was true, and the live versions of songs or heavier typically than their studio album counterparts.
The TH-cam upload doesn't do the mix of this particular live recording justice - biased a tad too much towards the guitar. Hear this on Blu ray in DTS HD 5.1. Daryl Jones' bass grooves that incredible mix deep. I also like the way Charlie's kit was recorded on this film and the warm tone of his toms really corne through clean on the Blu Ray.
Also notice how Mr Jagger has to waive Mr Richards to start whaling sometimes. Keith is so sclerotic that is not even funny he's ALIVE mein...Crying effin' shame, ONLY the GOOD die YOUNG. "RIP" Malcomb.
Poor Keith is completely lost here! He tries a little in the end, but fails completely!!! Mick and Ronnie are pulling it off!! This is one song where Woody fits better than Taylor!!!

The funky Stones' era is their evolution, "to get into something new"(as they say in "dance")
First time I've ever seen Mick Jagger playing guitar!
The song that turned me onto the stones
Welcome aboard
Bad ass live version.
They were on fire this night. Fantastic.
I've always liked how Mick modulates the pronunciation when he sings
At the end, "Ouundo cova of ze naïïght" love it 😍
How bout clina impact on my life but mine is invisible .
I've always loved the entire eponymous album. Underrated!
I too!

I was lucky enough to get a ticket to this one. Great show. Hard to think it's almost 20 years ago now and they're still touring.

They should have two versions of this song. This one and another where the camera stays focused on Lisa Fischer the entire time.

I might like this more than the original.

A bit chaotic, I think, with the exception of Charlie, Mick and the backup singers
