    Hi there. You have a beautiful garden ! When you take a picture of your rose with an iPhone, there is a little i (information) at the bottom of the picture. Punch it and it gives you the name of the plant. Your rose looks like a Lady Bank’s Rose

    • @shadedfromreality
      @shadedfromreality  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, great tip! I always forget that’s there! I tried it, but it just showed a generic rose. I’ll try a few more times and see if it will expand on the variety for me! I have a lady banks and it’s usually a solid yellow color … it doesn’t have the multicolor tones like this one! Thank you for the suggestions!

    What a beautiful home and garden. Thanks for sharing. I like your drainage solutions. The rock looks good with everything else - nice contrast. I live in MN zone 4 so I have zone envy for everything you can grow!

      Thank you so much! That's funny you have garden envy because I always say that about the gardener's up north. Too bad we can't all just trade off every other year!

    Hi Dawn! I absolutely LOVE both of your outfits in Part 1 and 2 June Garden Tours!! You look beautiful. Your garden is looking AMAZING! The heat is starting to take it's toll on parts of my garden, but yours is doing so well. I love your new Mother's Day Fountain!

      Thank you Shannon! You made my day! Lots of things are starting to show their heat struggles! 😭Seems like we should be used to it by now, but it’s hard every…single…year!

    Good Morning Dawn - your garden is beautiful. I am on the southern gulf coast of Texas. You can grow a few plants that will not grow here. Love your greenhouse gardens. Can't wait to see them all mature. Happy gardening.

      Hi Doreen, I think all of us gardener's have some zone envy! I always watch the gardens up north (which I shouldn't)...but gawk at what they can grow that we can't! They probably do the same...NOT...lol!!! Thank you for watching and for your nice comments!

    Dawn, I really love the garden(s) that you’ve curated. I hope one day I can have a mature space full of perennials like you have. I’m in your area (i saw that you went to a nursery on Round Grove rd…I’m over in Frisco) 😊 So glad I found your channel!!

    Ur jumper outfit it so darn cute friend! Love this june tour i am binge watching all ur videos now that ive found you and ur cannel❤. Also i have a question regarding the Arabian jasmine that ur family has passed down . Has it ever grown larger than its current status?

    • @shadedfromreality
      @shadedfromreality  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yay! Thank you ~ I love binge watchers :) That's funny you ask that about the Arabian Jasmine. I think that's why my dad gave it to me. He didn't think he was having success with it and he has had it for many, many years! Why do you ask?

    Beautiful garden. I use the Bioadvance Tree and Shurb Protect and Feed on ny crepe myrtle. One application. They are beautiful this year 😍

  • @SuePopejoy
    @SuePopejoy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have had really good luck treating crape myrtle scale using BioAdvanced Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed. It comes as a drench or granular; I 've used the granular the last two years as I can't lift the heavy water buckets. The nurseryman said you do need to apply it before the temperature hits 90. The bottle directions don't mention that. It works for 12 months.

    • @shadedfromreality

    If you would shop at local Lowe's or Home Depot Store, what Brand would you get for a Potting Soil and Raised Bed Garden??? There's a Clay Soil in the Raised Bed Garden.

    • @shadedfromreality
      @shadedfromreality  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Michelle, I usually just get the brand that is on sale and add my own amendments! I use organic when I can. Compost, pea gravel, and landscapers mix will help your clay beds.

    Hi Dawn, your garden is stunning and if I can get my garden to look half as good as yours, I'd be ecstatic. What is that metal trellis that you have attached to your fence that you grow vining plants like clematis on? Is it just a rebar mesh or is it something else?

    • @shadedfromreality
      @shadedfromreality  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Tania, Thank you so much...that is very sweet! Yes, you are right. It is rebar mesh, we get it at Lowe's or Home Depot! So easy and inexpensive!
