Steps
Step 1 Power off and remove SIM card tary
Step 2 Remove the damaged power button
Step 3 Install a new power button
Step 4 Test the new power button

my redmi note 5 pro back panel doesn't open up as easily as yours do... I can't even manage to open up the sides, it won't open a gap.

The plain 5 has the same flex button, but the 5a is completely different.
Hello, i'm tryng this because I broke mine but I had issues on removing the previous one (the little internal metallic part was attached too well and I scratched the metal part under it)
Can this still work (since the sensible part is on the other surface, and that js just to be glued) or should I just get a new phone?

And they it fixed it for the time being
if the volume button is bent you can take the case off and bend it back with a small metal tool that's what i did
