I didn't like Dread's soundtrack much when I played it, but coming back, this song is really good. Really captures the feeling of horror as all life on ZDR is rapidly consumed and replaced.
I love this song's beat, but it has such an uncomfortable tone to it. I always get really, really uncomfortable if it's too hot outside, and this song is kind of like that feeling in musical form. It brings to mind the idea of baking under the hot sun to the point of feeling sick.
I really really love this track. It's kind of weird and offputting, bit thats perfect because this is definitely the weirdest area in the game, and all the creatures here are some of the most bizarre, truly alien looking creatures Ive seen in recent memory. And everything is hostile and predatory, even the trees, which I notably remember as swallowing one of those deer looking things. The composition is filled with so many contrasting elements that it feels kind of ecclectic and hard to define, just like the ecosystem here is hard to define. Is this a reptile? Some kind of mammal? Is it even an animal? Im not 100% sure what I'm looking at, and fittingly I'm not 100% sure what I'm listening to. It has just enough specific sounds, like marimba and latin-sounding percussion, to evoke the sound of a humid rainforest, full of life, but not pretty or peaceful life. It sounds like the parts of nature we like to forget. Maggots infesting a fresh carcass. A virus turning its host into a breeding ground. An insect laying its eggs in another creature's skin. Its the part of life that disgusts and horrifies you, and its so unique and interesting. I've never heard anything else like it, and honestly its probably among my favorite tracks in the game, and it works so well for how it represents that uncanny, unpalletable, revolting form of life that I keep seeing all throughout Ghavoran, and its just amazing at setting the tone in my opinion.

Especially as the realization kicks in that the jungle that was so lively the last time you were there is now full of undead monsters.
The vocals in the background really hit when you return from Elun and the jungle truly comes to life.
Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that the jungle is exterminated and replaced in an instant.
i love this growing trend of the 2d plasma beam always being found in/near foresty or vegetation areas
There's something about this area that amaze me like a forest with wildlife inside a planet wow

This may sound weird but the theme for Ghavoren reminds me a lot of Magma Cavern from Pokemon mystery dungeon, and Minecraft's Nether songs.
Something about this song makes me think the composer has used psychedelics before. Ifykyk
This area could've been SOOOO much better if the parts of the walls facing the cameras weren't just black.
this area is incredible lol
Please do a 1 hour version! I’ll be using this for my dnd campaign
Cool! It's a fantastic song!
This would be a cool ALIEN soundtrack 💯🥶🥶🥶 give you the chills 😂
Best track hands down

Also it just sounds kinda jazzy.
I liked the soundtrack in general, but hated this area in particular.
Why?

@@ayar2 I will agree, the amount of times you close off a path just to get through it is kinda annoying
@@ayar2 Ironically Ghavoran gives you an insane amount of opportunities to sequence break
@@theakiwar9118 yeah you can pretty much get everything it has to offer in one visit, it's nice
