- 25 modern comics spanning 1999 - 2023. Books submitted with a 9.8 pre-screen and one book came home damaged. Some of the books are killer. Most are high grade filler.
Books have not been cleaned or pressed. But if they were, they'd be done by Impressive Comics:

Cool that you purchased dollar bins books years ago and still got 9.8s. You obviously don’t need to press modern comics if they are kept well and protected. It’s just easy extra money for CGC. Btw, they clearly damaged the book because why would any sane person send a damaged book to be pre-screened?! They should do the right thing and replace the book. I have a nice collection of Silver Age books but I don’t trust the people at CGC handling them. Lol. You did proved that it is fundamentally easy to determine if a modern book (and Bronze Age) is a 9.8. Well done. 👍

I've seen in the past CGC graded a book 9.6 and in the case the bottom staple was completely separated from the book. I'd say it is a CGC accident.
