The U.S. has a treaty with the Philippines. Not with Ukraine. An attack on the Philippines would be taken as an attack on America. We currently have a joke of a President. America created the monster called China. In the late 198Os the China GDP was about $250 Billion. BILLION! They have copied their way to growth, by stealing intellectual property and know how and by requiring the turnover of technical know how and technology. The elites in the U.S. including the government is the biggest threat to the citizens of America. They enabled China and looked away at all the theft for decades.
