Shaksgam Valley was a part of J&K, Now INDIA
Along with Gilgit & Skardu & Leh Ladakh, Shaksgam Valley was won by Great Dogra Warrior General Zorawar Singh(Napolean of INDIA) Under the Rule of First Dogra Rajput King Gulab Singh in early 18th Century. He also captured Mansorovar Lake from Tibet & merged it with J&K.
Sad thing is no History books give its place to Dogras & its King
Govt. of India still shamlessly promoting Mugals & Britishers
We Dogra Captured Whole J&K, Leh Ladakh & we merged it INDIA(1947)
and we are still lost in History...................
