I’m an oily skin person who loves ilia skin tint! I love it the way some oily skin people like face oils, I think it just evens me out and makes me uniformly glowy instead of getting super greasy just in my t zone. Especially in the drier months it’s never too oily for me.
The fenty skin tint has been my favorite since I got it. It gives nice coverage and lightly blurrs. It's a semi matte finish as well so it doesn't slid off my face. I want to try the sheseido one and another serum light foundation when I finish the fenty
I have to disagree, I love the fenty tint and I have hella texture, craters and pimples and large looking pores. You don’t have to have flawless skin to use a skin tint. Full-coverage can make my texture stand out whereas a moisturizer and the tint gives my whole look a sameness as the base that makes my skin look naturally in a better state - I prefer it not being a 100% block of color too since it really is your skin but better. My slight red and green and purple hues may come through but the complexion matching all over - and the blur - is perfect. You do, for every product, have to have the right hydration as your base - but no, you don’t have to have perfect skin to wear a tint, and a tint might actually be the perfect thing for you.
I love the ilia skin tint and i have combo/oily skin! You have to make sure your shake the bottle well before applying, and I use the Laura Mercier loose powder on top to tame the dewiness. It looks so natural with great ingredients. Oily skin people, don't be afraid to try it!
Bought ilia, have oily skin and live in a tropical climate. Hated it at first but have come to loooove it. Even noticed it helped with speeding up the healing some fresh acne scarring vs when i used traditional concealer alone. It’s great to wear when you have those days where you have to cover up, but don’t wanna clog your face & it makes you feel a little better knowing this product has some great ingredients in it. The dewiness does die down & if you get the correct color, it matches very well.
I got the fenty one recently after seeing KathleenLights talk about it and it’s really beautiful - especially when I apply with my fingers. I have no issues with greasiness - I just add a little Laura mercier pressed powder on top and some blush.

I have dry, dehydrated skin ( zero oil production all year) and the Lancôme and Fenty have been my favorites. I usually mix them with a real foundation for a little more coverage. I really like the Fenty Skin Tint because it really doesn’t transfer on my mask, but I do need a heavy moisturizer and very glowy and hydrating sunscreen underneath so it doesn’t look dry and matte. I wish Lancôme had more shades and it does oxidize so I go a shade lighter and mixed with a foundation that is a good match, has worked for me! I’m curious to try the Shiseido one!
I overall appreciate my fenty one. It can look a little dry on certain parts of my face if I don't do any skin care. But starting with less looks like skin but better without being greasy and the packaging is really travel friendly.

I really like Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator. It’s got a natural rather than dewy finish. It’s about 5 bucks and I like it way better than the ($50) Rose Inc skin tint, which I returned.
I love MAC Face and Body and Dior Nude foundation for super light coverage with a little glow. Both are the best to mix with any higher coverage more matte foundations on days that skin is drier.

Would you have a suggestion of Skin Tints for folks with acne scarring/texture? I use the Ilia Skin Tint and make sure to have a hydrating skincare routine ahead of applying...but wanted to see if there's a better option for us textured people!
I love mixing in my area skin tint with my L’Oreal skin Paradise during the summer even though I do tend to be a little bit more oily in the summer I feel it gives me such a beautiful finish and coverage
I use the lancome skin feels so good and I love it I do have dryer skin but I love to par it with the Lancome dual finish powder it last all day looks great. I don't feel the water break at all
I think what's really important too is really shaking it before use and starting with a few drops first. Also I blot it with make up sponge and that seems to helps. I find it to be buildable.
I LOVE the Ilia Skin Tint. Great color match, great SPF, doesn't cling to any dryness at all. The dewiness does set & looks very natural throughout the day. I always powder but I powder everything even though I'm dry (very little powder & not mattifying). Lancome was awful for me. Showed any dryness & the color range is odd. Fenty surprised me with how much I like it but I'm saving it for Spring/Summer.

There is a fine between glow & greasy & most lean towards the second after a short period. I've tried nearly all listed & now just add a drop to foundation. Far to oily to appreciate for my combination skin.
I've been using bare minerals...tinted moisturizer...only at the weekends( when i don't work xD cus I'm.in the kitchen..) and it goes quite good for my skin..now that is winter time ..! totally recommended

I'm exactly in your boat and the Fenty in shade 1 is a winner for me. If you like A LOT of glowy, sheer coverage, try the new Mac Studio Radiance Face and Body in W0. It has a W, but it's not yellow. More balanced/pink with the perfect depth.
So true. My mom just purchased the Lancôme CC cream I believe it was? I don’t get why the sales person first offered a yellow/orange shade just like you mentioned. We both disagreed with the color and then she showed us two other correct shades and the lightest was the best match. I love my L’Oréal Lumi foundation and wear very minimal I think for Summer I’ll just be wetting my sponge and going even more natural. Just use it to even out skin tone hope it won’t reduce the nice glow it gives me. Not greasy look as I have dry/combo skin but it just beautiful healthy plumped skin. 😍
It's next to impossible to find a "tinted moisturizer" anymore....it's all skin tints or tinted sunscreens. Aveeno used to make a simple drug store one that you could just buy at the grocery store and it was great. Was about $10. Anyhoo....I settled and bought Ilia and have been pretty happy with it.
How have you been using the Ilia? I’ve been so tempted to try it, it’d be my first makeup product ever. Not sure if I’d want to try using it as a standalone sunscreen or on top of one of my other sunscreens

I've always loved the Nyx BB cream, but when I've tried to replace it with one that has spf I couldn't find the right finish/texture. Just like you said if you have any texture on your skin a lot of those will magnify the problems :/ I've also tried the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue but that does a weird pilling thing no matter how I apply it. I'm probably going to try the Fenty one next so fingers crossed!

What kind of cleanser do you like to use when you wear skin tint? Some cleansers are good at removing a lot, but sometimes I like different levels in my skincare “arsenal”
@@elizabethrosario.a tfs with actual makeup, the need for a balm or oil is more clear. But with these, I wasn’t so sure because skin tints are kinda in between, thus the levels to skincare products

The Charlotte Tilbury foundation didn’t work for. It emphasised my dry batches that I didn’t know I have! I love illia tinted moisturiser with mineral spf. It is really dewy though. I only use sheer coverage foundations or tinted moisturisers.

Have this thing in my head that my hands could be too aggressive and I love a good gadget. At first I rolled my eyes at the foreo ufo, being that I don’t like devices having consumables or refills & the app part weirded me out. I got a dermapore for extraction, then I peeped the infusion mode on it. Have you tried an “infusion device” (guess that’s what these are called) with a toner, essence, ampule, or serum? How do the various brands compare? Any other uses for these?
You should probably add the fact that the amount you are displaying on your hands is the average amount of product that a person would put on their entire face - hence this blends out and sheers out the products. None of these add medium coverage except the CT one and Nars one. They are all very sheer and not completely buildable with the exception of again the two actual foundations,

I'm oily too! The Sephora girl kept telling me I would be greasy by end of day and so not true.

Agreed. I have crater deep acne scars, and uneven skin tone. I’m super pale. Skin tints and CC creams work better on me than foundations.

The Bobbi Brown intensive skin serum foundation is my all-time fave of skin tints but the Ilia is right behind it. I do have "mature" dry skin though.

hmm, I like the ilia but I have to exfoliate before I use it cause it clings to and all dryness for me.

Double cleansing is the best way to go when you’re wearing anything like this.

In one product, at least SPF 30. Some people like higher. I personally don't want to go higher than 30.
