What the heck is "Wood Badge," anyway?

Chances are you’ve heard someone in Scouting talk about a training course called, “Wood Badge.” But do you know what the course is and why it can be so very valuable to your Scouting, personal, and professional life? My understanding is that scout volunteers that worked in corporate training helped design the course similar to the courses they use. Is that correct?

Correct. Of course, the material is delivered within a primarily Scouting context.

Thanks. after I took wood badge I contacted several training firsm and found that their training subjects were almost identical. In fact, one company sent me a copy of a letter they got from an off shore oil company that sent their management team for training and they said they attributed coming in under budget and on schedule was because of the trainng the mnagement team had gotten.@@CapitolAreaCouncil
