I just modded my Dreamcast with GDEMU. Works beautifully. Totally worth the money and effort. Recently placed an order for a GC Loader off Aliexpress. I managed to find a cheap "Parts or Repair" Gamecube with all the accessories from eBay that powers and boots up, but with a defective laser lens that no longer reads discs. I cannot wait to tackle that one.
I’ve been messing around with this crap for over a year now and I keep getting “file is fragmented” message. I’ve tried reformatting, copying files on at a time, updating everything, and still the problem persists. Not sure wtf the problem is but it’s given me nothing but grief.
I still have my GCLoader new in packaging. I intend to keep using my still-working disc drive unless it dies of natural causes or it gets re-purposed as an external GameCube ripper or something
I watched this video several times and I still can't believe it is that easy. No mod chip to install, no soldering... just swap the dvd with the gc lite board and use the sd2sp2 in the bottom (each with their own respective SD cards) and that's it. Now if i didnt want to install the GC lite board, how do i get swiss to load so i could rip my own games to the micro sd card? My understanding is the sd2sp2 wont boot so you need something else to boot swiss.
Hey, I followed everything in the video, but when I select SD2SP2, I keep getting the error message: 'A physical device cannot work.' Do you have any solutions for this? Thanks!
I have a question if you don't mind, have you been able to play NBA2K2 OR NBA2K3 OR NFL2K3? If so what settings? Seems it loads fine but when starting main menu or goes black screen, try ir!!

If I boot to the GC menu (holding A at startup) and go to 'Memory Card', it doesn't recognize any memory card in either slot A or B. Is this normal? If so, how do you manage your saves on the SD2SP2 CD card?

it does that but I also have games on it. Unless you have a 1TB card, you won't be able to fit all the games on the GC loader. So I split them up between the GC Loader and the SD2SP2. Obviously, I can switch cards manually if I wanted to, but I'm lazy. Also, if you use one of the other tricks to load swiss (ie. game exploit, action replay), you wouldn't need the GC loader, you can just use the SD2SP2. For under $10, well worth it!
@@RetroPython i currently have the GC loader and i cannot save configuration settings and i can not boot the Gameboy Interface pre boot settings either. Will the SD2SP2 Solve that?
Absolutely would help with saving the configuration settings. Not sure about the Gameboy interface though. Are you emulating the Gameboy or actually using a Gameboy player adapter?
@@Signal-Flow I don't think the SD2SP2 will work unless you have the loader, The loader is what has the program files to emulate the disc drive where the SD2SP2 jsut acts as an SD card converter.

Hmmm. I think they just were there. I don't remember doing anything to them out of the ordinary. Maybe it was the way I ripped them.

You want the real gc loader not the lite. The lite is terrible. But honestly get yourself a Wii. Idk when a gc loader will ever be available.

Just done this myself, could have used this video. But honestly it's a very easy mod. GC Dual next, next year though, since it'll be another $100.

I love the GC loader. Got the complete GameCube library. And I ordered more to sell with complete games.

Certainly. Your settings won’t save, that’s the only thing. Honestly for $8. It’s will worth it.

What settings did you use for nkit. I used a basic setting and most won't boot cause swiss don't recognize it.

Hahaha. Good ear. I was recording through the screen capture and the desktop audio in OBS. I was too lazy to re-record them.
