80's pop icon, Jennifer Rush has chosen a South African promoter to produce and design her upcoming world show, that will be celebrating her international breakthrough in the mid- eighties. 30 years ago, the mega-hit and timeless classic, "The Power of Love", went to the top of the pop charts in several countries, including South Africa. Jennifer Rush is in South Africa to begin preparations for her world tour that will include Southern Africa, Asia and Europe.

I am surprised at the interviewer . Is it just me, or was Jennifer a much bigger artist outside the US than she was in her home country ? The Power Of Love was huge everywhere, but here in Oz she was a little like Celine Dion - you knew she was selling out concerts but few people under 40 bought her albums. Granted, it was the era of KISS and Motley Crue, and by the time grunge and nu metal arrived, pop divas were old news. I hope she is enjoying this phase of her life
