Can someone explain this picking phase? Like of sing had picked queen and had bought items and time had passed...how did they pick quop at the same time after he first picked it ? Makes no sense to me
Both teams get to pick 2 heroes at first picking phase, 2nd phase 2 heroes also and 3rd phase 1 hero. If both teams pick the same hero it gets banned instead but I think the 3rd time both team pick the same hero the one who picked it first gets to keep the hero
To my knowledge, you just double pick twice and the last pick, so double radiant and dire at the same time, next round another 4 heroes. Last pick is 5th (9th and 10th heroes of course)
I do wonder, what if i just so happens that the opposite team was a friend of mine, then we just keep picking the same heroes until all heroes are banned?
So in the latest patch, they change "pick and ban" system a lil bit. If you/your team pick the same hero as the enemy team, the hero got banned. Both you and your enemy team forced to pick other hero. . . So what's is a stream sniping is, you play dota, and you somehow got into the same match as a dota streamer (which is singsing in this case). Everybody in dota know who sing is. So they can easily open their browser, open twich.tv/singsing and boom, they could see what singsing do (hero pick phase) and abuse the new system (you just need to pick the same hero you enemy choose and that hero instantly got banned or you can simply just pick the hero counter and ruin their strategy). . . Stream sniping also give you advantage because you basically know your enemy ward location, easy denie, free gold and your enemy need to wait before able to buy another obs ward. And lastly, you can also avoid Gank, initiated by the streamer. . . This is also the very reason why, an online tournament live streaming got a few minutes delay so nobody can abuse this system. (official twitch stream got 3 minutes delay while dota tv (youtube) got 5 minutes delay if i'm not mistaken) . . To put it simple, stream snipe is a dick move. And in other games, stream snipe could lead into permanent Ban.
