2024 Next-Gen Piston Cup Series:
34 Pixar Cars Drivers will compete across 10 different Events in the Next-Gen Series. Each Event will feature a new Track, Layout, or racing style where drivers will compete to earn points. Points will accumulate each Event until the 10th and final Event where a Champion will be crowned.
Event 1: 3 Car Mega Jump
Track: Mega Jump Track
Style of Race: 3 Car Racing Groups
Number of Qualified drivers: 27 of 34
How to Win: Win 3 races before your competitors in your group to move on.
Points: points will be awarded at the end of the event based on the drivers performance and how far they get into the tournament.

This was an absolutely ELECTRIC 2nd heat for the Round 1 event. Saw some more amazing firsts, some incredible racing, and learned some valuable lessons about this event and league as a whole.
Firstly, my congrats go out to the winners of todays event, Swervez, Ramirez, and Braker. Great wins by all 3 and fantastic driving by all competitors.
That first group of racers was some of the chippiest, diciest racing i've ever seen. Those three cars were definitely getting tired of each other.
The second group, spearheaded by Cruz Ramirez was an absolute clininc in clean, determined racing. Not only was her round clinching 3 wins in 4 races impressive, but the way she won those races was a masterclass in racing IQ. Stellar performance. The shocker of that group was Jackson Storm, coming 2nd place all 4 races, heartbreaking.
And closing out today's event was the first full distance 7 race heat. All three left everything on the track and we got a peek into Tow Mater's Backwards Driving Academy, because Nick Shift put that move into action BEAUTIFULLY. That "3rd to 1st in reverse" victory was so insane, if I hadn't seen it myself, I'd never believe it.
Another important note from today's event though, that P1 (front, left) starting position is NOT a guaranteed win as P2 (front, right) has pulled even in number of checkered flag captures, both have produced 15 wins each.
Been waiting for this a little too much for my own good 😂😂

@@WeRaceDiecastI have an idea. You should do a “knockout” round for racers who are in danger of being permanently eliminated from the series by having said racers do a final race and whoever wins is still in the championship
Not a bad idea. For this the whole season all cars will participate in each event. Some events less than others, But each event will be slightly different. A different style of race, more or less cars on the track, different track; thats the overall Idea. Could potentially do a knockout event.

Damn, this season is showing to be exciting for the piston cup, many players who showed their worth in the qualifiers are really falling behind in the groups, new faces are always fun to see
You should also measure the lap times and update every time someone breaks the lap record
I would if I had a Manual Timer on the track. I don't actually have one rigged up though. For Quals I did it manually in the editor. But ya that would be fun to have definitely!

Can you make a short using the Cars racers with the synthetic rubber tires? I would like to see how that goes.
I actually don’t have any of the Pixar cars with rubber wheels. The problem with rubber wheels at this scale is they grip too much on the track, causing friction slowing them down, and they end up ping ponging off the walls a lot.

For sure. I'd like to do different divisions. And the World Grand Prix would be its own division with a season of races, similiar to how we are doing the Next-Gens.
