I have watched this multiple times now, with my wife, 3 kids, and brother. Blasting on my surround sound. Dragon Ball has been with me my entire 34 years of life, my brother and I reference it daily in our struggles at work or home. Will never been the same without Toriyama. Thank you for making this.
As cliche as it sounds, while Akira Toriyama died, he will forever be immortalized through his work and our memory of him. Rest in peace Akira Toriyama, you've changed the lives of countless people, and thus, you changed the world.
Through his work he has transcended what it means to be human and found the ultimate path which he must've believed was his purpose for this he is sure to be rewarded in the afterlife with a crown on his head and has influenced so many and has helped to build so much what I'm saying is humans don't create and control and influence on that scale future gods do
I was once nothing, nobody striken with muscular dystrophy. Through DBZ I learned that even a novice could surpass an elite if he trains hard enough. The never say die attitude lit the flame for me to surpass my limitations time after time. I had no business becoming an athlete, but through my gift of perseverance, I became what I wasn't and even surpassed that into the ranks of an international wrestling champion to then going even further beyond and achieved much success as a powerlifter. Growing up poor, I really identified with kid goku, his innocence, and lack of knowledge of a big big world. When I went through my divorce, the pain of loss drove me into a blinding rage that could only be tamed through relentless training. Even now, becoming a stepfather and an outreach pastor, I know that power is nothing if not guided by love. Akira, thank you, your work allowed me to show the world and myself who I really am.. and for you gents who consider giving up, don't you dare. You get up, you find a way, stay the course!
Some days ago, I was thinking about why I have felt lost for the majority of my life, and I realized that the reason was the lack of a role model while I was growing up. No father, no grandfather, no older brother, no uncle-nothing. Then I thought to myself that the only role model I always had was Son Goku, the hero of my childhood. It's incredible how a fictional character could have such power over us. Thank you for uploading this!
Fictional characters written by master like Toriyama, embody the human ethos and values we hold highest. Truth can come from many places! Stay the course, live your values, raise the standard!
This is so true for me too... In highschool I had to choose someone to emulate, and I literally couldn't think of anyone in my life worthy of aiming at, so I chose Goku...
Bro I remember when I had this same realization.. it floored me. He is my Sensei and Master. He has changed me so much and shaped us all without us even being aware of it.
This came out right when I absolutely needed this. I don’t know how many of you are faithful, but it please pray for me. Just got a retake of a test coming back up and I need to pass. Gonna be studying and grinding but please, pass some good energy along brothers. Thank you💪🏼
When I was younger I found this strong never say die attitude that I learned from watching dragon ball. People bash it because it doesn’t of the complexity of some other stories but whether they like it or not dragon ball is immortalized across the world. I visited Jamaica the first time and saw the most beautiful artwork of Vegeta on the street. I should have taken a picture this was 3 days before Akira passed away
Goku has the simplest yet beautiful story ever, a honest man that never never gives up, takes care of his family and enjoys becoming stronger every day, Pure manly energy.
Toriyama shaped the childhoods of many. Being a kid rushing to get back home to watch the "Next exciting episode, of Dragon Ball Z!!", and going to school to talk with friends about it. The life lessons, push to be stronger, better, etc. To this day still watch the series over and over. Akira will always remain a legend. Thanks for the edit GraveMind!
The Japanese say a person has two deaths.. One when they depart this Earth, and the second when their name is spoken for the last time. May Akira Toriyama's second death never come.
Maybe that's why I keep getting dead guys in my head. Huh perhaps even if that name hasn't been spoken in thousands of years it may take but one breath to revive it. May that be the case and may every name lost someday be remembered.
I could write about me and my struggles here but for today... RIP Akira Toriyama. You were my hero even if you didn't know me. I hope I can thank you for your life's work in the next life.
The DragonBall videos were how i first came across you back in the always massive days. Still to this day some of my favourites thank you for making this brother 👊🏼
I’m right there with you guys 💪 I was so rattled back when I originally thought this page was gone… but then I realized Always Massive just ascended to GRAVEMIND 🙌 so many great edits, keeping me motivated on the daily 🙏
Toriyama is a huge reason why I even started drawing in the first place. As corny as it may sound, Dragon Ball has been an influence on me and has shaped my tastes in a lot of ways, to the point where I genuinely would not be who I am without him and his overwhelming influence. I've been working on a short manga for years now, and it has heavy Dragon Ball Z themes to it, as well as having Dragon Ball Z and Toriyama both to thank because I couldn't not create a Shonen. I was so immensely sad to hear of his passing earlier this month, and I'm still not really over it, but his legacy will live on through his work and the impact he had on all of our lives. #RIPAkiraToriyama. Truly the greatest of all time.
Goku and the Z Fighters were my Father, Brother, Grandfather, Teachers and friends. Sure, they are fictional characters who don't know I exist but they are always there for me. I can confidently say I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for them. Granted these days I look more like Yajirobe, I still think of myself as a capable man. Thank you, Toriyama Senpai. I owe you my life.
Something that influenced my entire life - how I approached situations, how I formed my own values towards people I care about. And most of all, how I continue to improve myself daily. All thanks to these stories, these characters and that individual. What an amazing feat to change the world.
Please give alternative medicine, mainly Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yoga (with breathwork) and Ayurveda a chance, from my heart I believe it will help you. I wish you all the best in your fight for health. Never give up.
I’m almost certain I already commented on how great this video is… if it wasn’t this one it was definitely one of your others. I don’t know if it ever gets old, having someone tell you how good these are or what they mean to us as fans. But I tell ya… I was loving this when you first released it… but lately things haven’t been easy… and I remembered this video, so I came back to it. It is hitting so remarkably well right now, it’s absolutely what I needed today. I wanted to say thank you. It’s great to be able to share with fellow fans across the world who understand on the same level. Thank you 💪🙏🙌
Rip to a legend who helped me overcome so much triumph in my life as it was my most favorite show as a kid and when I got older I watched all of it and got to see the depth and heart of all the characters. You will be loved and cherished in our memories and go on to whatever greatness existence has in store for you
Its kinda hard not to be morivated to do better when you watch DragonBall and DragonBall Z. As always good work Gravemind. Always Forward. And RIP the Legend Akira Toriyama-sensei.
This is perfect thank you… thank you Akira Toriyama for fueling my workouts and giving me the best childhood ever. You will live on forever in hearts. Your creations will continue to save millions… you can rest now.
Toriyama would be proud of this work. So thankful I was here when Dragonball and all of his amazing works like Dragon Quest RPG series, Chrono Trigger, and the new animations and video game coming out like Sand Land. His apprentice turned master is in charge of Dragon Ball now. If only we had the DragonBalls...
I have probably watched this 10 times since it’s been uploaded. RIP Toriyama, he will forever live on in our hearts. He is the reason I fight and never give up today. Thank you for making this, you’re a blessing!
STAY THE FUCKING COURSE. I've been following this channel for a couple years now right around the same time I decided to make my goal going pro in League of Legends. In the summer of 2022 right after I finished high school I started at Platinum rank which is top 20% of players and after 20 months of dedicating all of my mind power I'm just about to hit Challenger which is the highest rank in the game reserved for pro players and other people that make a living in the industry. This video is all I need now to make the final push to achieving my end goal. It's bitter sweet to see Akira Toriyama pass away but he made a large impact on the world and his life should be celebrated. Goku and Vegeta are 2 sides of the same coin and symbolize everything a man with goals should strive to be like and these videos helped guide me along my journey to be who I needed to be to get to where I am today. STAY THE COURSE!
