Great review, Jake! Bowser's lineup is incredible and he can destroy many other teams! He was always my pick as team captain when playing the game (and Superstar Baseball). I usually added King Boo and Petey to his team for even more dinger machines! His team is the only one I've ever been able to hit a grand slam! It is funny, but in many other Mario sports game, Bowser is generally one of the best characters due to his sheer power! He is amazing in the Mario Golf and Mario Strikers series as well! Also, thank you for the nostalgic rush with the Mario Party background music! 😄
I agree almost entirely except I usually swap the bones for the other Magikoopas. While I like the variety and better hitting, I’ve found the magical catch, team chemistry (both in the all Chen lineup and in the field), and extra relief pitchers have been more useful against my friend group.
I'd be interested to see something just generally looking at what the best teams are for each different captain. Maybe making all the different teams and there has to be as little overlap as possible (maybe a character can only overlap one time each and you can't use it until every character is on a team?) Idk I started writing this and then just kinda struggled to come up with how this would be different than videos that I've already seen
@MarioSluggersFanclub yeah, especially since you'd have to make 12 teams. It's a lot and it kinda makes it more interesting than just putting the same best combinations every time
I think Toadsworth should be swapped with Baby Peach. She's a better pitcher, better fielder, a much better runner, and has quick throw. They're both terrible hitters so there's not much of a loss there. She loses chemistry with Peach and Daisy but still has great chemistry with the rest of the team and I think her stats make up for it
@@MarioSluggersFanclub yeah I would say most are straight forward, but some can be confusing, like blooper and hammer bro having bad chem(my reasoning is they were the only 2 unlockable characters in Mario party 8)
They were there originally, after looking at it some more we realized that their pitching is awful and they have a lot of bad chem in the field, still a solid team though

How do you know whether a character is good at a certain base or not?
