Hey Tom, recently I have noticed 15.770 MHz is coming through very well in the daylight hours in PA using a standard whip antenna. It is a Korean Buddhist outfit, though it is coming from stateside. WRMI. It seems stronger than WWV most times.

That's Supreme Master TV on 15.770 MHz. I have heard it before on that frequency. I'm not a fan of their programming though.

I think that the reason a lot of people gave it such poor ratings, from what I gather, is mostly because the sloppy tuning knob , and the difficulty in tuning on SW bands. The radio is sensitive enough, but tuning takes PATIENCE ❗️
It is a pain. But the DSP does lock well, and very little splash from strong local stations.
It also seems capable of a wire antenna, which helps SW, [ and wheeler FM stations].
It’s not bad, but takes some getting used to.
The rechargeable battery IS replaceable. It is rated at 500 mAh. And all searching could not produce a larger capacity battery.
I purchased this direct from :
    And it was about $35.oo
    Free shipping.
It’s a fine pocket size Emergency Radio, and does well for what it is,
    Despite being “finicky “
    to tune on SW.
It is pretty rugged as well.
Also it comes with a charging cable.
Charges just like a phone, and it CAN be used while plugged in.
Strong AM(MW) stations, or FM only, because it’s a bit noisy when charging.
The Weather Band is also quite sensitive.
I get 3 stations on it. A length of wire helped on one of them to bring it in stronger.
    📻🙂

The instruction manual is poorly written and thought out with the most pertinent bits of information scattered throughout the manual. My best advice would be to read it through several times. The information needed is more or less, for the most part, to one degree or another, there. Then start using it, frequently returning to the manual.
Helpful hint: The "power" setting means the Li battery. The "battery" setting means AA batteries.
The antenna and switches are rather flimsy so don't expect years of service. I've only been using mine to become familiar with its functions and already the switches are feeling rough and the tuner is becoming sticky.
As is mentioned in the video, the SW reception is marginal and a sticky tuner does not help.

Most of Kaito’s Emergency Radios do offer the battery back- up. They have Emergency Radios from about $15.oo -$100.oo.
They pretty much focus exclusively on these radios. The KA-500
Voyager is one of the most popular Emergency Radios sold anywhere.
      Thanks for watching.

This is a great radio for
“ Bug-Out Bag” - emergencies, and when a compact size is warranted. -
      Not really for daily use.
      That is the main thing.

@@jeffking291 I have an AM/FM/WB emergency radio made by another brand and use it as a weather radio. It`s WAY overpriced for $40.00 but was a gift. The AM band is very difficult to tune (DSP) and needs help from a passive loop to get usable volume levels. Mine has no earphone port at all. FM band is poor. Despite all of this I love the radio because it gets great reception on the weather band and with a loop to boost the volume I can listen to my favorite AM stations. Would I pay $40.00 for it? No way!
