Good job NNPC. This is the kind of public update we want to be seeing so we can have hope of better Nigeria. Keep maintaining the safety procedure. Fantastic job you've done, thank you for the update.
Glad to be part of this project. Lots of work going on to deliver phase one of this project this December. Hopefully, this documentary will help people understand what has been happening on the project.
May GOD give them wisdom, strength and ability to complete this project. If and when it works, we will all benefit from this refinery. GOD BLESS NIGERIA
Communication (of this type) is part of accountability. Hopefully, there will be no slip in the completion, testing and commissioning date. This refinery will help in our quest for robust and sustainable energy security. We can do it! Well done!
Mind U nothing dey do Dangote refinery oh ...D old scammer still wan dey scam us dey go ni oh which Jagaban say No ...let d poor breath ...He won dey refine in dollar ...just imagine
I commend them, most especially worker's on PPE's. I want to advise at this final stage of work on hot work activity, hot work HSE procedures must be strictly adhere to without any compromise to afford a fire incident. Kudos to nnpc, worker's and contractors. God bless Nigeria
God bless everyone who has contributed to the refurbishment. This should also be broadcast on TV programs. Enough of Negativity about the country. Nigeria can be better. God bless Nigeria
Why are all the refineries owned by the Federal government for decades still not fully operational, while Dangote Refinery, conceived and built in about a decade is almost humming full speed? What does Dangote know that the FGN does not Know?
This same rehabilitation was done on this factory in early 90s. I worked on that project with Soimi in 1991/92. Only God knows how much was spent then. NNPC officials, who had been massively bribed, turned a blind eye to many sharp practices. For example, in some places where pipes were supposed to be replaced, they were sandblasted and put back.
Let us have hopes in our ability to turn the situations in our country around. This is one of the reason OBA OF BENIN said Tinubu is anointed by our ancestors. Yes it is true that his administration wasn’t meant to be but we should remember that the ways of God is different from the ways of man. Let us work together and support the authority for a better Nigeria It doesn’t matter who leads us there, what’s important is for we to get there! One Nigeria 🇳🇬
If Nigeria wants to do something they will do it... Make no mistake, i have negative words in my arsenal to say about my country but I won't say it ..... 2024 IS A NEW DAWN FOR MY BELOVED NIGERIA... I BELIEVE IN THE GREATNESS OF NIGERIA
This is laudable. However I observed that the heat exchanger @ 02:07mins is having plugged tubes. Why wasn't the tube bundle or heat exchanger replaced outright given this extent of ongoing revamping? Hope this is not a common theme for the heat transfer equipment....
Plugged heat exchangers don’t just get changed, they need to have undergone over 10% of its tube plugged before we can carry out Re-tubing of the heat exchanger. Having worked on various static and rotating equipment this is an experienced advice.
I see people coating pipes and instrument panels. Guys, costing doesn’t make an equipment fixed. Portharcourt refinery needs more than painting. If I were the government, I would sell it. Mandate the oil companies to build a joint modular refineries. They will take 5% from the government NNPC to build and operate.
Nonsense. Nigerians are just crazy. They are deceived into believing the govt selling every thing is the answer. Meanwhile, ARAMCO is owned and run by Saudi. Many companies in China are state owned as well. Corporations taking over everything Means no empathy towards the masses. They are driven by money. People are already dying from subsidy removal.
How can any sane man or woman allow a critical infrastructure to wallow in such disrepair? Its obvious to the eye that all the TAM projects under OBJ, GEJ and Buhari were corrupt practices that consumed more than $11 billion. Nigerian social groups and Labour Unions had requested oil subsidies when the solution was full rehabilitation of the refineries and reorientation of the management teams and governance. I hope that this time we will learn the importance of critical national infrastructure such as rail, road, refineries, power stations, dams and farms.
Nigerians are the real problem. It's tinubu. Its Buhari. On a normal are there not suppose to do this. Have you heard in America when it come to infrastructural development, there call any president name. We are our problem.
I bet you don't want that. You don't want Corporations running this country. Capitalism will only bring more poverty. The fuel subsidy removal is a big sell out of our country to western Neocolonialism
We have the worst maintenance culture! At this point I support privatization of most of this stuffs! Our government have a bad reputation with maintaining things!
The update did not say anything about the TAM(turn around maintenance) of the newer, larger second portharcourt refinery. When will TAM work begin on the new second portharcourt refinery?
It has long begun, I am part of it. Just that the contract was awarded later than the old refinery so it is expected to be completed by end of next year. That is what you call areas 1,2&3
I don't know why it's so difficult for me to believe or accept anything coming out of this country Naija, our leaders lie too much , PH refinery has been comatose for years ,let's hope they mean business this time around
December 2023 is today. Is it this or another one you can deliver. Why! Nigerian governments and it's leaders doesn't tell truth. This project can be actualized if there is no delay by August 2023.
The refinery is not going work till next june or may ..let no one deceive you ...most important part of the boiler hasn't been fixed ,infact the wrong component was imported ,it has to be returned or they will have to import another one
First of where did you get your info from..? And you clearly head December is feasible so if you don’t have anything positive to contribute don’t dampen peoples hope there’s no joy in tarnishing your country’s image I come in peace ✌️
@isaacpeterside8865 so will you bet on me that its going to be operational this December..talk is cheap ..put your money where your mouth is ,are you willing to bet
Is looks like another elevated false hope to Nigerians, prove me wrong & be transparent with Nigerians, give a precise date when it will commence work.
Good news for all NIGERIANS; if the doggedness of this administration (NOT REGIME!) can get these national treasures working!!! IT IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK, esp if Nigeria belongs to ALL of us!!! However, it should not stop a forensic PROBE of the activities of these man made behemoths- Dangote refinery or not; after all, there’s something called opportunity cost-the sufferings Nigerians have had to endure Can not be quantified, yet people had to be accountable!!!
Abdulsamad Rabiu is building 200,000BPD in Akwa Ibom, Dangote has built a 650,000Bpd in Lagos all in the south. continue to be a tribal lord, we are here for business giving your people jobs which you couldn't. go and buried your head in shame.
We now have hope of inflows of foreign currencies from Dangote refinery sales to other parts of the world while we rely on our own refineries, thank God o, after this Ajaokuta steel complex….hallelujah hallelujah 😅😅😅
If you all pay attention, the reality is this refinery will not be ready anytime soon. Most materials or equipment are not made in Nigeria, and NNPC is not the only company ordering materials. Instead of telling the truth, they will keep lying to the people. We dey here 😂
@@yomisaheed9210 Dude, this has nothing to do with Nigeria rising again if we don't fix our industries to feed each other with basic materials through manufacturing. NNPC will still nose-dive. This guys don't have specific In service date.
