The US was spoilt with these...they were still fairly expensive, but nowhere near as much so as they were in Australia. Possibly the smartest car purchase of 1962.

Usually, I enjoy driving- even in bad traffic up to a point. Its very rare that I deliberately drive where I furiously skid the tires, weave around lanes around +20 speed limit like some sort of hummingbird or deliberately otherwise like a furious-asshole. LOL.
Dad once abruptly gave me some crap for how fast I had his van go through break pads though- that however was extremely ironic to me considering that I was in extremely good moods around that same time.
I'm certain I had a short lived habit of treating his big, 80s conversion van like an overpowered, big and heavy go kart. ROFL.
