Nicely done Josh! We’re just about to pick up my folks’ 2004 v6 manual GV. Raised coil overs, serious tyres, Electric brakes, 2-way and a few other mods. they took it on some the toughest tracks around OZ and it dominated with its increased ground clearance and light weight - can’t wait to get out in it!
I used to have one of these, best little 4x4 ever! There is nothing else in this price range and category that compares. They can be a little difficult in rough terrain as they don't have much torque down low and the low range could be lower, but they will tackle almost anything.
If you can find one of the Grand Vitara XL7’s, you can pretty easily swap out the 2.5 from the GV, with the 2.7 from the XL7. Will give you a decent HP increase depending on what generation of the 2.5 you swap from. But the 2.7 gives a lot more power in the low end, which is really helpful if your putting larger tires on. And you can swap in the XL7 A/C unit too which is way better. With the large windows these things are like a greenhouse
Should fab up some steel plate rocker guards on that bad boy. I want to setup my GV the same as this one. Plus I’m looking for the h27a engine from a XL7 to swap with my 2.5 for more power
Hey man, I live here on the sunny coast with a Suzuki grand Vitara 2002 (not yet modded) Would love to meet up with more Suzuki Vitara drivers and go for some 4 Wheel Driving! Message me if interest? Also is their a group chat for something for when events like this happen?
Benjamin Freudenmann Hey Ben! Its a friends old grand vitara he has a 105 series landcruiser now but jump on auszookers.com.au website theres lots of info and group meets. Check facebook as well for suzuki clubs. Cheers man!
Benjamin Freudenmann it was a v6 one! And yeah definately there is soo many different tracks varying in difficulty so you can still have heaps of fun out there! 😁
what???!!! those were open diffs??!!! jeeeeeesus!! it really does go better than i thought! The center diff is locked by default on this vehicle though, right? I mean, as soon as you select 4x4, the center is locked right?
This is hard to watch, this guy doesn't know how to drive correctly on trails, especially the part where he got stuck in that hole...keep digging and ruining the trail, pls get lockers so many cars there nobody pulling him.
Great video, much appreciated. Thank you for writing a description. So many people post great vidoes but offer no information in the description.
ur2insecure thanks for the comment 😀
