🎉Cancer Free With Glee PT. 2 | Kobeawah Osam-Dade

At the age of 20, Maame Kobeawah Osam-Dade was in her third year at the University when she got diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer) in 2017.
Osteosarcoma is a type of bone cancer that begins in the cells that form bones. It is most often found in the long bones - more often the legs, but sometimes the arms - but it can start in any bone. In very rare instances, it occurs in soft tissue outside the bone.
In order to save her leg, Kobeawah travelled to India with her mum for treatment. Over there, Kobeawah was given chemotherapy and had limb salvage surgery. Her bone was replaced with a heavy metal implant. But after 11 months upon her return to Ghana, Kobeawah decided amputation was the best way out of the constant swelling and pain she was experiencing with her leg.
After the amputation, she was not only cancer free, she also graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree with Honours in 2020.
Regardless of the fact that she currently uses her either her prosthetic leg or crutch as aids in walking, she's very happy, successful and deeply loved by her friends and family.
Indeed, AMPUTATION IS NOT A LIMITATION! ✔️
