Hi, I haven't yet had any luck with drivers and version 12.0 ... so I'm advising my students to use version 11.1 until I get it figured out. If you're using a later version of 11.1 and the USB_Blaster isn't showing up, use the drivers from version 10 and that seems to work. Thanks for the feedback! Cheers, Jim.

I had problems getting my USB-Blaster to show up in the Programmer. I was using Quartus II 12 SP2 along with its drivers. After visiting the Altera forums I downloaded the drivers for Quartus II 11.1 SP1 and it _seems_ to be working fine so far.

If your here to try your first CPLD project and got the *Error (12007) Top-level design entity undefined* message (Quartus Prime 18.0.0), go to *Assignments* tab > *Settings* > *General* Set the *Top-level entity* in the dialog box. When I try to input the pin location it keeps telling me "Editing location assignment is not successful. Not assignable." Whatever pin I try it keeps telling me this. Is there a way to fix this?

I have here "Tasks" then below "Flow:" and in window I can chose either one of these: Compilation, Early timing estimate with synthesis, gate level simulation, RTL simulation, or Full design. So, which one? I am using Quartus II, 32 bit, Version 12.... Okay, I will try to find it myself.

hello its a nice tutorial..just wanted to ask should the name of project and name of top level design entity should be same?? like if i am coding in verilog the name of my module, for example say is MUX_4..should MUX_4 be the name of my top level design or it could be anything.

I need to use the internal 50MHz clock in my Deo Nano. Is it just a regular pin?
