Musa, When BTS debuted they were a hiphop group. It was later decided that they would become an idol group. Jungkook was only about 14 or 15 international age when they debuted. The boys went through a lot back then trying to make sense of their identities. Fortunately, they never gave up, and that is one of the reasons we love them as much as we do. JK used to rap and sing in their early years... Now, he's focused more on being the main vocals. Internationally, JK was 15 when this MV came out. He was turning 16 in September of that year.
Jungkook was also a Rapper in the first few years.

@@waituntil I've never said that, I said react to pt2 bc has an MV and for the choreo... for me first you see the mvs and then start digging into the rest of the songs, idk personal approach. But pt1 is equally good as the rest, if I didn't like it I wouldn't have mentioning xD
JK is what you they call a "triple threat" thus making RM called him the Golden Maknae that can do everything. He can rap, dance and sing. He is a sub rapper, one of the dance line with Jhope, Jimin and V and the main vocalist of the group.
JK rapped in older songs like No More Dream, We are Bulletproof pt. 2, N.O, Boy in luv and Danger.
There is also a song called Outro: Circle Room Cypher where they all did a freestyle rap.

jimin was a baby, he was 17 or 18 years in No More Dream. At the beginning Jimin supposed to be the muscular, thug guy, more masculine. He showed his abs and arms in all the MV´s and it was a pressure to him. That image was not him, in the progress he choose what was his real self more soft and delicate, more androgynous. First of all they weren't a "rap band" they where a hip hop group
Second- I always find it very strange when people refer to them as a band
When a band dosent work without people playing any instruments. They all work with their voice and dance and (except Form a few songs) there is noone playing any instruments and they officially are an idol group
Yet since they have been entering the western media they are constantly being called a "a Korean boy band" eventhough music wise all they do is sing and rap
So I would always call them a group rather than a band
If you want to book a band for your local pub and 7 people with no instruments show up- you send them home because this is not what you where expecting; rightfully. It isn't a band.
You don't book a band and have someone play music from speakers and have 7 guys sing and rap... When you actually thought you where paying for a band. A band works without singers or rappers but it doesn't work with no instruments being played

Jk was like 15 here and he used to rap a little back then since they started as a hip hop group.
JK was 15 with BTS’ debut. His official positions were as Center, Dancer, Main Vocal, & Sub-Rapper. It is why he is called Golden Maknae, because he is talented in every aspect. He had main rap parts in their earlier works, fills in for the rappers in performances where they are absent, & even still, harmonizes along the with some rap sections to add to the tone/sound.

Also a interviewer ask RM "what would he said to his younger self if he could?" and RM response was "change your hair pls, and your name(RapMonster)" hahha
This song is powerful in the lyrics, the first song and they already start criticizing the strict korean educational system that don't allow children to have dreams. Very brave for a new group coming with criticism and a different style that wasn't popular back then

They came out fighting for sure! JK was 15 years old. The concept came from the company and they just had to follow the plan e.g. It wasn’t Jimin choice to show his abs. The guys are embarrassed now about their early image but once their own styles were recognised and more respected by the company they were able to show their true selves.

Yes Jungkook is a main vocalist and he is a rapper too. He used to rap in their old songs but now he barely rap because he is focusing on singing more. Tbh, I miss rapper Jk so much and with his rap he can easily pass as a lead rapper in other group, he can pass as a lead rapper even in BTS. I love his voice so much but I also love his rap and I wish rapper Jk will come back soon

I can't 😂😂😂😂😂😂your reactions are priceless . Jk rapped often in older songs and their styles changed as they got older but their messages were always so diverse. They challenged school systems, bullying, teenager stress, political rights, mental wellness. They write bout the scary intro to adulthood that know one tells you about , they talk about being judged by older generations and the way they are crow tits trying to catch up with storks. They talk bout self love and discovering yourself and speak yourself, they talk bout the hate and the love of army and the shadows that come with fame and how just they are still just down to earth guys who love music.
