I agree! This sim is a perfect opportunity for stem edutainment! I've been enjoying this free version, thus far, and am hoping the dev is able to reach his goals for marketing the full version on Steam. Thanks for sharing this.
I use to be a backer for Starship Simulator. I spent many hours on multiplayer exploring the galaxy with other players all playing our role. We would mostly just look for cool planets or blackholes and park the ship so we could see it from the lounge and just chill there for a bit :)
Looks nice but seems a little bit too leisure cruise for an exploration ship, don't you think? Sure it makes the ship more agreeable but it seems to give too much space to big staircases than to systems.

They couldn't have one switch to instruct a computer to fill tanks and charge batteries.

it could be important for mental health to have a ship that feels like a home, if the assumption is that a starship like this will be away for years.
