- This video will show you how to build this large fantasy/fairytale-style cottage in Minecraft! This is part 1 of the tutorial and we will build the entire outside. I'll post the next video, which will be the interior, soon!

Me and my friend are building a fantisy village in survival and we don't want to coppie tutorials, we want to desing all the houses our self but we have only realy got 2 styles of houses and this has given me some fresh inspiration, thanks.

Okay, I LOVE how you had the full list of all blocks and the amounts needed of each! And they way you put down the layout for the house with black and white, because that just makes it so much easier to count and make sure I get the building the right size!!!

Made this today in the new cherry blossom biome, using the cherry wood and giving the cottage a moss roof instead. It's my new favourite build ever!
I usually hate building roofs in survival, but you have a really nice and easy way of explaining everything. Thank you for this :') Plus you have a really calming voice lol

Imma say, this house slaps hard. I play with a bunch of mods (most importantly, Biomes O' Plenty and Oh The Biomes You'll Go) and this house can be done with multiple color palettes for any biome you want. I've done a Skyris Vale (BYG) themed one with Dacite walls and Skyris wood, I've done a Maple Forest (BYG) one with maple wood, calcite bricks (quark) and hellbark (BOP)/frostbright (blue skies) wood for the accents.
Also, props for the layout in the dirt! Every single time, istg I miscount and my house ends up wonky. This time I was able to catch it before I even started building when I copied the layout! Thanks dude, you rock. Looking forward to building more of your stuff!

I found this on Google and built it from my perspective of the picture, I did it all in survival but noticed I messed UP!!! I'm gonna have to start it again and break that mess I had made, using the tutorial this time. Your really underrated! Love the builds!

I didn’t really like the granite texture so I decided to not do it, but your video helped me alot
I used a lightening rod instead of the fence on top of that first roof you showed. omfg building this in survival lol. i got a bit lucky that the nearby underwater area had A LOT of clay but omfg it still took a while lol

I was so annoyed getting the clay but i found a lush cave and it helped so much i feel sorry for the people who had to built it without the help of lush caves

The results are amazing but it’s so painful getting all of that clay and also before building this make sure you have these things: easy acces to clay (river is the best spot to find it), easy acces to terracotta (idk if there’s any other way to get it but since I already had found a mesa it was easier to just get it from there), and cocoa beans for brown die to make the concrete powder

thinking on building this on my SMP server but I want to avoid collecting clay and terracotta lol, thinking on making the roof with copper (I will wax them on different rust levels for texturing) and deepslate for the walls, I wonder if it will look good that way
did this in survival, but added 2 or more blocks on all the dimensions, cause it looked so small compared to my other buildings and it took me around 8 hours man

Hellos! currently collecting material for this cool build of yours! a quick question since i'm a little confused when it gets to the cobblestone along with the bricks :O. is it so that i need to collect that amount for (as an example) both bricks along with granite? or is it just counted together for the finished build? im quite sorry if i'm reaction a bit slow but i really just can't wrap my head around first building something with one block and later going in to remove some to add a "texture" :( But a super nice and good looking build for me who hasn't started on it yet haha lol
Hey! sorry if i'm too late, but it's a mixture of blocks for certain parts, for example the roof is half brick and half granite, mixed together. The number there is from the finished build when both are mixed together

If you mean the sideways logs, you have to place them on the side of a block, so i just put a temporary block, placed the sideways log on the side of the temporary block and then broke it
