- On a sunny day, we ventured to the West Wetlands Park in Yuma, Arizona, after receiving a glowing recommendation from a good friend of Liz's. As we arrived, we were immediately struck by the beauty of the landscape-a blend of lush greenery and picturesque wetlands that offered the perfect backdrop for a day of exploration.
The park is designed as a wonderful playground for children, allowing them to run, climb, and interact with nature in a safe environment. Ava, our little adventurer, was thrilled by the array of activities and the freedom to roam. From climbing on the playground equipment to splashing in the shallow water areas, she was in her element. Her laughter echoed through the park, and I could see how much joy she found in every moment. It's clear that she’s already excited about the prospect of returning.
One of the best aspects of West Wetlands Park is that it’s completely free to the public, making it an accessible haven for families. Just a quick tip for anyone planning a visit: be sure to pack plenty of snacks and water to keep the little ones energized during their explorations. Overall, it was a fantastic day spent in a special place, and I know we’ll be back for more adventures soon.
