@@vancouversworstdrivers i know, i've been watching this amazing channel from the beginning, and i enjoy the content, but as we all know the drivers forget how to drive in the snow, and it's going to snow in 12 days. a little recap,of what to expect would be welcomed maybe a 2 part video comp, will get you more content and views, and give us something to watch. you dont even have to edit them, just reupload with a new title.....i just want an hour long snow video.
Note: 1) Turns out you can do 60 fps however you would need to turn HDR off. 2) The prices given are the regular price not sale price (currently all models are on sale). The A229 DUO is actually MORE expensive than the PLUS so it makes even more sense to get the A229 PLUS. Let me know if you have any questions and I can do my best to answer them below :)
I’ve never had a dashcam before and was wondering if you had any idea what the visibility would be like with tinted windows? I have 50% in the front and 30% everywhere else. Not sure if any dashcam would be clear enough to see license plates
@Eric-2000 hey it shouldn't be a problem even for the rear one. Even if it is you can always increase the exposure in the settings and you'll be good. Thanks for watching!
This is a great review - thank you! I especially liked the dashcam footage you shared from the front and rear. The A229 plus is on sale for $180 USD accross most sites, which convinced me to order it.
-> Please tell Viofo to let the front camera record @ 60 FPS in "Automatic HDR" mode during the time period when HDR is off! Becuase now 60 fps are only possible, if HDR is turned off completely.
Thanks for the question, are you simply just trying to add your time zone or change the time that is showing up? Personally I don't show time on my footage because I dont want someone disputing an accident if for whatever reason the time is different.
Honestly not really unless you go with 4k. Sony Starvis 2 is still the leading video sensor in the dashcam market. If you go one channel there's also the VS1 and the Mini 2.
This or viofo mini 2, I see that mini 2 is very good because of 60fps, also between A229 plus vs pro, is pro worth the money, can you please shed some light and help me to make a decision. mini 2 or pro or plus. Thanks in advance
@nilaypatel3069 gotcha. The mini 2 is a great dashcam but it does not have the ability to add a rear camera...whereas the A229 Plus you can add cameras at any point by buying them later on. I'm currently using my A229 Pro and I love it, but I am mindful that I get them for free and spending that kind of money for 4k dashcam isn't for everyone. This is what I would say...if you're hesitant on the price go for the A229 Plus. The jump from 2k to 4k is cool but in my opinion is isn't all that necessary. Even 4k dashcams have a hard time seeing license plates from more than 50 ft away and especially in low light conditions or rain. That's why I recommend people to keep their mics on so they can read our license latest out loud. I hope that helps
Also my Instant Karma video will be posted on Wednesday Nov 15th! Stay tuned for that one
Can’t wait for that
what you need, is a compilation video of all the snow fails, before the snow starts. it's going to snow in 16days.
@@harrysarai3947 I have some good ones from back in the day! Check them out
cant wait❤

@@vancouversworstdrivers*If you had to choose between full time recording on HDR or 60fps, which one is better?*
@AzNightmare I would take HDR personally. Better to have higher resolution in my opinion. Happy new year!

Very timely video! I'm searching for a new dash cam in Canada, and your details about pricing and specs is just what I needed. Thanks a ton!

Thanks for the informative video,. This dashcam suits my needs and i'm going to buy one
Glad it was helpful!
Good review
Great info
Thanks for watching!
How do you set the time. I tried for 2 hits today. Only choices are in gmt time I can’t figure it out

Thanks for the video, do I have the option in the app to view my rout on a map?
Unfortunately that is not an option directly in the dashcam.
a year later is there a better option under 200? more clear reading plates and else?
Honestly not really unless you go with 4k. Sony Starvis 2 is still the leading video sensor in the dashcam market. If you go one channel there's also the VS1 and the Mini 2.
does Lock mean Save footage?
16:58 the most random stop sign
Yes it does! And that stop sign is on private property so it definitely looks different. Thanks for watching

Hey thanks for watching and reaching out! Are you strictly talking about one channel dashcam? Also keep in mind the VS1!
@@vancouversworstdrivers I mean I want 2 Chanel actually for front and rear but I heard mini 2 has a better performance than A229 plus and pro

@nilaypatel3069 by the way I noticed the links don't work in the description. I'll get those fixed tonight if you want to use them
What sd card are you using?
I'm just using a 64gb one from viofo
