I sure miss PSA's like these for kids shows. They really are a good thing to remind kids to be careful about many things, and reminding them to think of common sense and to be smart.
Well maybe I can bring those PSA’s back thanks to the help of _Inacio Studios’ Looney Tunes Cartoons_ . How you ask? Simple. Sometimes the DC Superhero Girls can teach you good lessons every now and then before or after some cartoons pop up.
Yeah , I've watched that segment when Superman spotted a kid smoking a cigarette and was gagging & all only to lose the game when that girl tagged him out because I've watched it back on DVD this morning .
I remember that segment too which features Batman & Robin at an accident scene which was long ago been cleared and an ambulance driving away because the young woman told Batman that her boyfriend had taken some alcohol product from his dad's cabinet & he gotten too drunk to see the Red light then Batman caressed this young woman at the end .
I remember these safety and health tips from the Saturday morning TV show Superfriends on ABC from 1973 to 1986 it teaches how to be safe and healthy I used to watch it every Saturday morning back in the day!!! That's one the best PSA from Superfriends from each episode!!! Too bad they don't make great shows like this anymore thanks so much for posting this video!!!! I love it!!!! I love the 70s!!! I've just watched one of those segments this morning back on DVD I still have because I've watched the one with Superman flying over a ball field when he spotted a 12 year boy smoking a cigarette only to lose the game & this is why kids shouldn't smoke it doesn't make you a winner , It makes you a loser .
In the breakfast PSA, why in the world was that kid by himself in the woods?! Remember, when you go out to play, always have a parent watching you, and make sure they know where you are. And never leave your door open.
If anything the only outdated aspect would be the animation, and perhaps the cigarette one (up for debate, as it goes for the respiratory issues and all).
Indeed, as the shorts they are stars in are basically PSAs in themselves, from teaching not to jump to conclusions to the dangers of joyriding, hitchhiking, and even drag racing.
At 1:40 , superman is on air patrol over a ball park during a minor league baseball event, he spots a 12 to 13 year old kid smoking a cigarette because he believe that cigarette smoking is cool to him because he witnessed adults do it but in reality, he learned the hard way when he started coughing very constantly and then lost the game, because superman says, don’t smoke, it doesn’t make your grown-up, it makes you a loser.
Great set of the PSAs from the All New SuperFriends Hour. As far as correct chronological order goes, the fourth week of PSAs were missing from this list. Batman and Robin teaching a boy never to go skateboarding in traffic areas and Superman showing you what to do for a remedy if you burn yourself. Otherwise, you've covered the first 10 weeks minus one. Any plans to add the other PSAs?
There definitely more from the All New Super Friends Hour. All of them can be found on the DVD boxsets. Sadly though, none of the PSAs from 1979 or 1980 have been recovered.
I seen a documentry about comic books when Frank Miller was talking anout how kids couldnt relate to Batman cause DC made him much nicer now I know that there are ppl who thinks Batman was a real wuss on Super- Friends to each his own. *Batman:* “Hey, kids! We hope you’re enjoying our adventure with Scooby-Doo, but we’d like to take a moment to talk about what to do in case you get attacked by a shark.” *Robin:* “That’s right, Batman. Shark attacks can be scary, but you can defend yourself with a Bat-aquatic menace neutralizer. Make sure it’s on the proper setting. If a shark grabs your cape, don’t panic. Any quality crime fighting cape should be equipped with a quick release collar.” *Batman:* “Of course, my cape has been soaked in shark repellent for just such an occasion. Remember these tips, and you’ll know what to do if a shark attacks!”

Is there anyone reading these comments on this account because at 2:06 , one of his children was about to pet a dog, and this is until wonder woman swings in and stops the kid from petting the animal, because chances are one of these kids get hurt because you got a remember. Their dog is a stranger to them, and the kids, themselves or a stranger to the dog and the dog doesn’t know them and still wonder woman have to show them how to negotiate with this animal by allowing him or her to sniff the hand to make sure that the humans are harmless to the animal, so that this dog could become friendly.
The kid is being chased by a bear and the lesson is "Don't skip breakfast!" 😂
Just reached that part as I read your comment, things were hella silly.
I said the same thing.

Robin is Shaggy in disguise and then the Heimlich maneuver scene with Batman!
“Don’t smoke, it doesn’t make you look grown-up, it makes you a *loser* “.
Dang, Superman.

@@rararasputin8608 Little did Superman know, Tommy took that personally, and would grow up to become a new supervillain: Nick O Teen.
I like the back ground music of the PSA.
The dog in the dog PSA looked cute.
Those are very powerful PSAs, especially the PSA about the dangers of drinking & driving(07:40)- all of them are still relevant, today!!!
BBQ king!!! Yeah, don’t beef it in a car crash or Batman will move in on your girlfriend. He totally goes all Joe Biden on her.

I remember seeing every single episode of "The Super Friends" when it was aired every single Saturday without fail.

I always loved these spots on the show: they always gave a welcome feeling of variety of stuff to enjoy for the hour.

something like this that the kids today need to see this.
Agreed.🐻🧸

If only these kinds of PSAs were more common. I remember seeing cartoon PSAs like this in the early 2000s and they stopped after about 2009. It’s sad.
So the lesson that Superman gave the kid running away from the hungry bear 🐻 was don't skip breakfast?
These bring back such good memories. The superfriends were my favorite show as a child.

Notice that the boy still had his bike on the sidewalk after the lecture.
When superheroes are better at teaching you lessons than most preschool shows
1:38 "That's why I never say yes to a cigarette" says Superman.
Just got to love the old PSAs. I sure do.
2022 and I miss the wholesomeness of these days.
Make that 2023
Make that 2024
Fall of 2024👍
Hah..I can't escape this bear because I didn't have breakfast!
Should've eaten some frosted flakes, tigers can outrun bears
I can't escape the bear because I was walking alone in the woods.
Safety is never outdated it's annual
In the breakfast PSA, why in the world was that kid by himself in the woods?! Remember, when you go out to play, always have a parent watching you, and make sure they know where you are. And never leave your door open.
I wonder if these PSA’s can be shown today as a tiny slot after an animated series is finished with an episode or two.
If anything the only outdated aspect would be the animation, and perhaps the cigarette one (up for debate, as it goes for the respiratory issues and all).
Edutainment...excellent upload!!
Wow that's awesome!!
Aqua-man is about to break the boy in half getting the water out.
I remember one where Superman is playing golf and hits the ball too far and says "I don't know my own strength!"
Let's just ignore the little kid casually running for his life from a grizzly bear
THESE SUPERFRIENDS PSAS WERE TAKEN FROM THE 1977 SERIES, WHICH RAN ONE HOUR EACH WEEK.
Kenneth Huang. 5/23/24.
3:29 - Batman's mouth completely disappears.
"Eat a good breakfast, kids! Then you'll have the strength to outrun a bear!" 😂😂😂
Damn you X-Men Origins writers!
And knowing is half the battle.

Roger that, Batman & Robin. I never even drink or want to drink any alcohol in the first place
Most learned that lesson about not drinking and driving- some, however, didn't, which is tragic!!!
I showed my dog the video at 2:04 about how to approach a dog, and he just looked at me confused 🐶
Am I the only one who noticed since he met those twin girls Aqua-Man's been hanging out at that swimming pool more often?
Nah, Aquaman let them know hitch hiking invites trouble- the girls took the city bus, instead!!!
And if you want to know why the Wonder Twins never starred in a PSA, well, their shorts were PSAs in cartoon adventures' bodies anyway.
Indeed, as the shorts they are stars in are basically PSAs in themselves, from teaching not to jump to conclusions to the dangers of joyriding, hitchhiking, and even drag racing.
So, Superman,a balanced breakfast can make you outrun a bear?
I'm not sure if that is true or not, but never bother or approach a bear. I'm not saying you would.
best to feed the bacon to Yogi. 🥓

Health and safety is very important.
Ya know back in that time Batman was a lot less of a dark closed off JERK as he is now in the DCAU
We have Frank Miller and Alan Moore to blame.
