State Park Camping 2020: Reserving a site. What will that cost?

Here is a look at what it will cost you to camp in a state park campground when you make a reservation. The assumptions are
1. you are an out of state resident
2. you are staying 2 nights (i separate out the cost of the first night versus the second because sometimes the second night is cheaper)
3. the cheapest reservable site is electric only (non electric sites are often 1st come, 1st served and about $10 cheaper)
4. Give an estimate for regular weekday camping and then what it would be if you are a senior. Some states give out of state seniors a discount and some do not.

Good information! The last 2 years we have been selfishly half hoping that Colorado would start charging a few bucks more for non residents just to help with up keep and maybe keep the numbers down. Hanging Lake(not a state park) just off I-70 is now reservations and permit($10) just to park and walk/hike the area due to huge numbers and vandalism. Camping June thru Aug is getting harder here in the west and I imagine other places too.

THANK YOU FOR ASKING! I'm feeling fortunate that i got an apt this winter....still here and looks like I'll be hanging here for a while yet. Pretty sure i had the virus in December but I'm not chancing it. You doing well also?

PerSueTheDream I am doing well also sheltering in place at home my job is essential I’m trying to get FMLA but I’m getting the runaround I’m diabetic and I have high blood pressure I might end up having to go back to work anyway if my doctor doesn’t sign off on me I don’t know what to do I’m kind of in that in between. Right now I have a lot to lose 401(k) , insurance, etc all that comes with the job. It’s a sad thing when you have to risk your life for a stupid job. I’m glad to hear that you’re doing OK it’s a scary world out there
