Because it shouldn't be just dismissed as a kids show, its considered cannon in the JP timeline, and also probably what most consider to be the best media of the Jurassic world part of the JP series.
One of my favorite scenes from this series is in the Lost World movie. When the T-Rex is in the back yard, and the kid casually unfazed walks to his parents room and tell them that “it’s a dinosaur in our back yard”.
There is much more of Camp Cretaceous that needed to be added in a timeline here. The series' time-span is from the start of Jurassic world 1, to 2 and timing into 3. Also, it seems some plot devices from the show might be integrated into the 3rd movie.
Seeing it next Tuesday with the fam, (our local theater does half off regular price on Tuesdays) and we cannot wait! Especially to see how my 5 year old nephew reacts to it. He is absolutely fascinated with dinosaurs. Crazy too, when we watch Jurassic park, he can legit point out which dinosaurs are which and their names and all that. Anything from the Brachiosaurus to the Tyrannosaurus😊😂
I have always wondered, how come none of the executives of the Jurassic Theme Park ever go to jail for the countless deaths caused by their stupid decisions. Like Hammond was free enjoying retirement, even the operations lady roams free as an activist even though she was responsible for deaths of at least a 100 people. Even the kid who opened the gates in the last movie should be tried for any and eventual deaths. How come there is no accountability in the Jurassic kingdom 😁
Well, it's funny that everyone is so quick to "save the dinosaurs" when people are being eaten alive! It's like, "Sorry about your family being horribly murdered in a theme park, but you can't be serious about killing the dinosaurs!?"
I mean, would Hammond be arrested? For example, a business man buys land and says he wants a building there. The crew builds the foundations of the building but the building accidentally collapses killing some of the crew members. None of the crew members nor the business man would be arrested right? Or if a lion escapes at the zoo and goes on a rampage killing guests, sure the zoo would get sued but I don’t think anybody would get arrested. Could be wrong but that’s my take.
I see, lemme explain: a) From JP: Hammond was free due to everything been covered by InGen and the Goverments of the US and CR, that´s the confidentitality pact refered in LW, when the truth was uncovered Hammond was no longer InGen´s representant, plus he had big quality lawyers and years after the incident it would be hard to chargue him with anything since InGen was so secretive. In the book he dies, so he could not be chargued, and who knows when he officially dies in the movie franchise, all we know is he was gone for JW (RIP Richard Attemborough) b) From TLW:JP: Peter Lodlow died... most likely he was made responsible, as he was, for everything, InGen probably fed the media with Peter´s carcass. c) JPIII: The Kirby´s, Grant and Billy probably never talked about been in the island at the time, since their operation was illegal and is heavily implied in the JP media that the goverment gonna make you shut about it or else, 3 Mercenarys, the boat crue and Amanda´s dead BF would be no issue to hide from the media, specially since nobody should know they where there and they where retrived my the military. d) JW 1: Massrani died, like Ludlow he might be chargued by the Massrani corporation and fed to the media to save everybodys asses at the Executive table... also, many deaths happend off camera so they can cover that, i don´t remember any civilians dying so those who got hurt can be satisfied with money and make shut while coercing the family of those who died but worked to the corp to not speak up. Wich leads to Claire: I don´t want to make big spoilers if you haven´t seen the movie, so let´s just say she is like Harrison Ford in his 1993 Oscar nominated movie with Tommy Lee Jones e) FK: Miles is dead, again, same story with Massrani and Ludlow, as a matter of fact, all the people responsible for the disaster where killed in the final part of the movie. Wich leads to Macie: I dunno how laws work in ´murica but she was ten at the time, maybe something about correctionals and shit. I like the novels by Crichton. They’re more closer to what happened in the books . But Jurassic park and lost world are still my favorite childhood movies. But Peter Jackson’s King Kong shares the same timeline as Jurassic park lost world to Jurassic world . Skull island came after the dinosaurs and ice age beasts went extinct. But they survived when the world evolved. Carl denham is like John hammond who brought an ape back from skull island to the mainland. After kong died in New York City John hammond who was a young kid who probably heard about the ape in the city took Carls advice to bring dinosaurs back to life . And isla nublar and sorna share the same timeline as King Kong 2005

"The Novels, Video games and Comics are considered extinct". Well it JP The game and Trespasser can be considered soft-canon, given how multiple marketing media for fallen kingdom have parts that are considered canon to the timeline.
The novels are really different to the films, well the first two since thats when it finished, but some events in the first novel were different, and the second novel was nearly completely different (no spoilers though, better to read for yourself)
Crucify me, but I loved Daniella Pineda in COWBOY BEBOP I know her version of Faye Valentine wasn't faithful at all to her anime counterpart But I loved its own way. She was funny, energetic and adorable

JW Franchise - "Hey, we built a dinosaur zoo on the exact spot where some other geezer build a dino zoo a few years back. It all went belly up & people were killed but hey we can gloss over that right?" For me, nothing will beat the first film. TLW and JP3 were verg good, but after JP3 it died.
I myself have two questions regarding the Jurassic Park franchise. One, how come they STILL haven't topped the seminal original? Two, Nublar goes ka-boom and destroys the dinosaurs. This is repeatedly implied to be an over-and-done event, with Malcom claiming it should happen to correct Hammond's mistake in cloning them in the first place. But, what about Sonra? Did that go ka-boom too? Is the island no longer a dino preserve and the specimens relocated to Nublar? Is someone on the Jurassic World writing team reading this Comment and thinking "Oops"?

Yes there’s “The Secret Exhibit” followed by the rest of the series and then “Double Trouble”. They all take place June-August 2012 (3 years prior to Jurassic World.
Technically it probably wasn't the first attempt, as it was likely that Henry made several attempts before the E750, which would explain all the other numbers in the files that we see in that one CC episode, and the Scorpios was just the first successful attempt at a hybrid
You forgot operation clean sweep which is when doctor Wu and other people went to Isla nublar in 1994 to count who survived Jurassic park and it was a plan to kill all the branchiosaurus and veliraptor
Then around the same time as Dominion the 6 kids from the Camp Cretaceous series have escaped Nublar, returned to their normal lives and have grown up only for dinosaurs to have followed them and having to adjust to changes, especially when one of them is supposedly killed in a dinosaur attack only for it to be revealed some shady dino dealers set up the attack when she was investigating their dealings and are ready to put the next hit on the remaining 5 as they figure out the conspiracy of the dino dealings and evade not only literal predators but metaphorical human predators.
Well eventually it's nature! the dinosaurs are here before us so basically we borrowed it to them and now in Dominion we have to share them among them whether you like it or not that's the story works

Don't worry. It's not just you. It was meant to be vague because just like most big screen IPs now, it's sloppily written with things stapled on by people that had nothing to do with what came before.
Does no one freak out or give the little clone girl grief for endangering humanity by releasing those dinosaurs. I imagine tons of people died as a result, right?
I have a question regarding season 1 of CC. Obviously we see calamities happening in S1 that we know occurred in Jurassic World 1. One scene in particular that is shown in the series that I don't recall from JW1 is when the campers have exited the lagoon and they are in the spectators stand. At the end of this episode that loud blaring that starts and runs during the end credits. It's still not fully dark, the island hasn't been completely evacuated yet, and presumably the indominus rex hasn't been killed yet. It's much darker when Claire lets the t-rex loose on Main Street. Given how loud this blaring alarm is surely it would have been heard in the movie, right? There are many videos out there detailing events from JW 1 & 2 that are seen from the campers point of view in the show, yet I've not seen anything about this particular moment. I don't have access to JW1 so unless I can find clips of the movie during this particular time-frame, I've no way to cross reference this scene myself.
So I just pulled up Netflix to better clarify my question. The episode in question, season 1, episode 6. Time stamp, 1:49 remaining. As you can see, it's still quite bright. In JW1 when Claire demands the t-rex paddock doors to be opened, there's blaring. I thought this could be that blaring heard in episode 6 at the time stamp I mentioned. But it's not, when the paddock doors are opened it's dark out. So the blaring heard in the show happens much earlier than during the Main Street fight.
The chaos on Main Street occurs immediately after Massrani's copter crashes through the aviary. There's blaring heard during the chaos, but at this point the campers had already made it to the cave. The blaring in the episode happens after Main Street has cleared. Somehow all the chaos that ensues following the release of the pteranodons is over by the time the campers find themselves in the lagoon.
Basically I'm trying to find the point in the movie shortly after all the chaos clears from Main Street. Would be so much easier if I could find the movie. But alas, I'm gonna have to browse through additional scenes to find the point of time in question.
I have access to JW1, so I've looked for the approximate time in the movie that corresponds with the ending of the JW:CC episode in question. So, back to the ending of S1:Ep.6, the end when the blaring is heard. In Jurassic World 1, at time stamp 1hr and 25 minutes in, the chaos on Main Street is in full swing, it's still fairly bright. The campers are still in the cave, they've not yet gotten to the mossasaurus lagoon. Back in the movie, there's a time jump at time stamp 1hr 25 minutes and 30 seconds. The movie time jumps passed the point where the scene in JW:CC with the blaring sirens is heard. So, point in the show where the sirens are heard is cut from the movie. Kind of bummed by this revelation, but it was a fun endeavor.
Another bit of irony for the campers. After Ben is taken, the monorail is headed back to the park. It's dark and this would be the approximate time that the indominus rex battle on Main Street took place. Remember Dave and Roxy at the lagoon? It's dark, the Main Street fight hasn't happened yet. If the 5 campers had stayed on the monorail, they might have made back to the lagoon and Main Street to witness the final battle. They could've been rescued by Claire and Owen, if they hadn't jumped from the monorail. How ironic, right?

Just watched the new one at the drive in. I was 5 when the first one came out. My boys were 1 1/2 and 7. We all had a blast!!!

Damn knowing this timeline....the Jurassic Franchise is not really coherent especially the older films......
JW Franchise - "Hey, we built a dinosaur zoo on the exact spot where some other geezer build a dino zoo a few years back. It all went belly up & people were killed but hey we can gloss over that right?"
For me, nothing will beat the first film. TLW and JP3 were verg good, but after JP3 it died.

I myself have two questions regarding the Jurassic Park franchise. One, how come they STILL haven't topped the seminal original? Two, Nublar goes ka-boom and destroys the dinosaurs. This is repeatedly implied to be an over-and-done event, with Malcom claiming it should happen to correct Hammond's mistake in cloning them in the first place. But, what about Sonra? Did that go ka-boom too? Is the island no longer a dino preserve and the specimens relocated to Nublar? Is someone on the Jurassic World writing team reading this Comment and thinking "Oops"?

Lost World and JP 3 are NOT part of the Jurassic World timeline. They completely ignored those movies and went from Jurassic Park to Jurassic World.

references, yes. But not part of the timeline. They do that so the fans can have easter eggs but those movies are no longer canon and JWs timeline goes straight from Jurassic Park to Jurassic World.
Everything makes sense now. The dinosaurs aren’t the antagonists. No, everything is perfectly fine until the human kids are introduced in every single iteration of these films.

Wait, you forgot the Scorpius Rex. It was Dr Wu's first hybrid attempt before the Indominus Rex.
Technically it probably wasn't the first attempt, as it was likely that Henry made several attempts before the E750, which would explain all the other numbers in the files that we see in that one CC episode, and the Scorpios was just the first successful attempt at a hybrid

You forgot operation clean sweep which is when doctor Wu and other people went to Isla nublar in 1994 to count who survived Jurassic park and it was a plan to kill all the branchiosaurus and veliraptor
Then around the same time as Dominion the 6 kids from the Camp Cretaceous series have escaped Nublar, returned to their normal lives and have grown up only for dinosaurs to have followed them and having to adjust to changes, especially when one of them is supposedly killed in a dinosaur attack only for it to be revealed some shady dino dealers set up the attack when she was investigating their dealings and are ready to put the next hit on the remaining 5 as they figure out the conspiracy of the dino dealings and evade not only literal predators but metaphorical human predators.

Don't worry. It's not just you. It was meant to be vague because just like most big screen IPs now, it's sloppily written with things stapled on by people that had nothing to do with what came before.
Does no one freak out or give the little clone girl grief for endangering humanity by releasing those dinosaurs. I imagine tons of people died as a result, right?

I have a question regarding season 1 of CC. Obviously we see calamities happening in S1 that we know occurred in Jurassic World 1. One scene in particular that is shown in the series that I don't recall from JW1 is when the campers have exited the lagoon and they are in the spectators stand. At the end of this episode that loud blaring that starts and runs during the end credits. It's still not fully dark, the island hasn't been completely evacuated yet, and presumably the indominus rex hasn't been killed yet. It's much darker when Claire lets the t-rex loose on Main Street. Given how loud this blaring alarm is surely it would have been heard in the movie, right? There are many videos out there detailing events from JW 1 & 2 that are seen from the campers point of view in the show, yet I've not seen anything about this particular moment. I don't have access to JW1 so unless I can find clips of the movie during this particular time-frame, I've no way to cross reference this scene myself.
So I just pulled up Netflix to better clarify my question.
The episode in question, season 1, episode 6. Time stamp, 1:49 remaining. As you can see, it's still quite bright.
In JW1 when Claire demands the t-rex paddock doors to be opened, there's blaring. I thought this could be that blaring heard in episode 6 at the time stamp I mentioned. But it's not, when the paddock doors are opened it's dark out. So the blaring heard in the show happens much earlier than during the Main Street fight.
The chaos on Main Street occurs immediately after Massrani's copter crashes through the aviary. There's blaring heard during the chaos, but at this point the campers had already made it to the cave. The blaring in the episode happens after Main Street has cleared. Somehow all the chaos that ensues following the release of the pteranodons is over by the time the campers find themselves in the lagoon.
Basically I'm trying to find the point in the movie shortly after all the chaos clears from Main Street. Would be so much easier if I could find the movie. But alas, I'm gonna have to browse through additional scenes to find the point of time in question.
I have access to JW1, so I've looked for the approximate time in the movie that corresponds with the ending of the JW:CC episode in question. So, back to the ending of S1:Ep.6, the end when the blaring is heard. In Jurassic World 1, at time stamp 1hr and 25 minutes in, the chaos on Main Street is in full swing, it's still fairly bright. The campers are still in the cave, they've not yet gotten to the mossasaurus lagoon. Back in the movie, there's a time jump at time stamp 1hr 25 minutes and 30 seconds. The movie time jumps passed the point where the scene in JW:CC with the blaring sirens is heard. So, point in the show where the sirens are heard is cut from the movie. Kind of bummed by this revelation, but it was a fun endeavor.
Another bit of irony for the campers. After Ben is taken, the monorail is headed back to the park. It's dark and this would be the approximate time that the indominus rex battle on Main Street took place. Remember Dave and Roxy at the lagoon? It's dark, the Main Street fight hasn't happened yet. If the 5 campers had stayed on the monorail, they might have made back to the lagoon and Main Street to witness the final battle. They could've been rescued by Claire and Owen, if they hadn't jumped from the monorail. How ironic, right?
